Real Lich Hours 2: Abandoned Ruins

I didn’t get the Tadpole tingle when i met Gale, he just kinda knows about it. Always thought that was weird lol I didn’t like him on the team cause when he died, he killed my whole squad.

so what tier do i gotta back at to get Gary to record a cover of Weird Al's "Hardware Store" where instead of tools he rapidly lists all the different kinds of skeletons on the Forgotten Realms wiki

Just wait for the opportunity to bring out "Country Astarion" which I've been doing around the house, to my cats! -GB

Gary's Astarion impression was so good!

In my first playthrough I played as Shadowheart because Origin characters were so interesting in DOS2. Fighting the Intellect Devourers and then this whole dungeon before finding another party member really messed with my sense of difficulty going forward. I was impressed with the amount of prep I could do for the fights, dropping stones, blowing up a barrel, or stealing all the undeads' weapons. An important thing I learned: You can't opportunity attack with a ranged weapon in hand. Ending my turn holding a melee weapon was often crucial for trapping enemy archers and casters.

A note about Gale: he is actually the only one of the origin companions who you Don't get a tadpole twinge with, he just makes a comment about also being on the nautiloid. This made my partner and I extremely suspicious of him on our first playthrough, thinking he could be faking being infected for some nefarious purpose.

The ruins was where I figured out you can't actually use all the ropes laying around. I had one in my inventory expecting to be able to use it and after I dropped that stone I tried to use the rope on the hole as it looked like it might be too far to jump down but my team just dove and crashed into the hole and alerted everyone below, I reloaded my save determined to see if I 100% couldn't use the rope in some way but alas, however, I did discover that if I had everyone sneak and then clicked on the hole I would go down quietly and then was able to surprise all the bad guys and set up for the fight however I wanted instead, so that was at least an unintended bonus discovery. Too bad all these ropes that are everywhere seem to have no use and are just trash items. I can't remember if you could use these in DOS I or II.

Thank you! I hadn't actually used it yet because I don't have any AOEs, so I was misremembering. -GB

Just a note, Careful Spell isn’t Spell Sculpting where the party takes no damage, they just automatically succeed saving throws from those spells.

Jumping down into the ruins through the hole you create by dropping the rock makes the fight quite difficult - you are all in a small room and the enemy is just outside giving no real room to hide from them. However, it teaches a fun lesson as well - they are almost all standing in a large puddle of flammable liquid and surrounded by barrels of firewine; a firebolt, flaming arrow, or even a lit torch tossed out the door and into the puddle makes the fight a lot easier (and much more chaotic!)

Ah, yes. Supper Time!
