Long time Patron, just wondering the proper place to ask show questions / topics for the dispatch episodes? I used to know but I typically just lurk and listen and have forgot.

Just posting to say I agree completely with the Darkest Dungeon 2 commenter. In any year without BG3 it would have been my goty, too. I absolutely adore it.

Thank you!

I played Disco Elysium for the first time in December, and now I’m in the same situation as Naveen. I can’t play Sea of Stars, or In Stars and Time, or Oxenfree II, and I’ve found myself becoming unreasonably upset about Tears of the Kingdom. The recommendation to switch genres is solid, and my salvation from the disco curse has come in the form of a palette-cleansing road trip through wordless adventure games like Journey, Abzû, and Rime. I’m also considering challenging Dark Souls II, finally. Still, I’m pouring one out for myself and Naveen and everyone else who played Disco Elysium and now needs the writing in video games to do better. That game is so good, and it broke me.

They've definitely heard of it! They were going to cover it for the show, but the subject matter was a little hard to broach. They talked about it on another dispatch, but I can't remember which one. Also, if you haven't heard it yet, check out the episode they did recently on Lisa: The Painful. They talk about RPG maker (and fear and hunger, I think) in that episode. Just relistened to it the other day so it's fresh on my mind!

Shit sorry I thought this was a call for questions.

Have you guys heard of the game Fear and Hunger? It's the most alluring and good RPG Maker developed thing I have seen in a very long time. It's a somewhat roguelite survival horror game with JRPG combat, with a nice veneer of Souls/Berserk aesthetic, and a surprisingly complex story with a ton of endings. I won't go into any more detail, but it very successfully makes you feel desperate and fearful and hungry. But beyond that recommendation, what are the coolest things you two have seen come out of RPG Maker? Or any fond memories involving it in general. Thank you, I love all that you do!
