We'll take that into account, but I want everyone to know that the next two episodes are already recorded! So if you hear those and are like "God damn, why do these guys keep talking about that!" that's why.
If we make any changes, which we probably will, they'll show up a few episodes out.

CLARIFICATION EDIT: We're not going to suddenly be cavalier about late game stuff, or grand theming. It's more like not awkwardly saying "This has added context, but we can't get to it yet" quite as often. An example: we're going into the Belurat Gaol next episode, and though it only hints at what's going on with the jars, we might give it additional context. We know what's up with these jars. We won't talk about the whole conflict that the jars helped start though.

While I enjoyed your coverage of the original game, I was ahead of your coverage and spoiler-wall was one of the few disappointing features of the podcast. While I appreciated it in concept, as I sure some listeners hadn't gotten that far yet, it was way to restrictive.

Yes I know that some haven't got onto it yet though most i'd imagine have already completed it and so to wait out 8 months to complete seems way too long. Of course you guys do what you want and feel is best - Just wanted to add that even going quicker would likely make it punchier, more engaging and prevent people dropping off. In any case, love this DLC (I would take one of these a year forever) and love the content as always.

I just wanted to add (and know I’m not looking for repercussions) I’m a big ol’ lore simp so spoilers are big for me. Totally understand if things get spoiled early based on the information available, but with a game as big as ER I think that’s something worth additional consideration. I guess all I’m really getting at is I hope you keep your original Shadow Keep embargo that was implied

2024-07-23 23:50:01 +0000 UTCThere's not a lot revealed about the plot that isn't advanced in the same area for a while (Go talk to this other NPC on the other side of the area, go look at these crosses nearby and so forth) so I doubt you're going to miss out too much by not talking about the story further on. Plus, you'll be busy with those omen dudes and their danged curved swords that refuse to drop for anyone without the minimum dexterity requirements.

Might be a good discussion point for a Roundtable really, i.e. the different playstyles people have. That "point of no return" thing feels like it's deliberately punishing people who don't enjoy scoping out an area fully before moving on

For what it’s worth I think it’s best to lower that spoiler wall asap. This dlc is so packed with revelations and answers so many questions it would be too much work for you guys and would be frustrating for everyone.
