The 2024 slate for WOFF is basically set!

Hey folks, Gary here

We baaaaasssically have 2024 planned out and we have tons of awesome stuff coming up. I'm letting everyone know for two reasons.

1) You're still welcome to purchase the Executive Producer tier but we won't get to your game until 2025. We're good for it! I don't say this to discourage anyone, I just want to be as transparent as possible because it's a lot of bazoola in the bank.

2) I wanted to play a fun little game. There are a few really cool things we have coming up and I wanted to drop a hint for each month. I want to note that these hints will be varying levels of vague, and I won't confirm anything anyone guesses. Also, subject to change as always (which is why we don't post the schedule in total).

HERE ARE YOUR HINTS.
JULY: A sequel to a jrpg we've already done
AUGUST: A genre first
SEPTEMBER: Another genre first! And one you might think we'd never cover
OCTOBER: Something we've talked about doing for years EDIT: This is such a bad hint.
NOVEMBER: Sequel to one of the all time influential PC games
DECEMBER: CRPG from the last 5 years.

THOSE ARE YOUR HINTS! Let me know if this is fun and if it is, I'll do it again for next year. Also, I might fav answers randomly. A fav does not mean you guessed right.

Gary

I think ck3 would be the easiest for them to do. While it’s not the favorite of paradox nerds, it’s pretty and has good ux compared to any other game they have

Stoned Skeleton

JULY: Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door AUGUST: Mortal Kombat (2011) SEPTEMBER: Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions OCTOBER: Alone in the Dark NOVEMBER: Sim City 2000 DECEMBER: Wasteland 3

Naveen Sivakumar

July: Suikoden 3...nah. September: Critical Depth. Vehicular combat in Wacky Races themed submarines baby! Or a wrestling game...? But seriously, this is fun! Thanks!

Jody Vyrostek

October: Lies of P November: Diablo 2 December: Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous

Mitchell Biggs

JULY: Mother 3 AUGUST: Stellaris SEPTEMBER: NFL Blitz '98 OCTOBER: Crossover episode with Guppy where The Pivot™ is revealed NOVEMBER: TES IV: Oblivion (Wishcast answer: Thief 2: The Metal Age) DECEMBER: Wasteland 3

Ryan

Pac-Man World 2 time boys lmao

Chase

who are you

Dylan Kilby

so you want to hear gary be salty for 2 hours? gotcha

Sebastian Krüger

Immortality?

Steven Meadows

Kole did a twitch stream of Chrono Cross that was really great a few years ago, I don't think they have any plans to cover it for both colorblind issues and 60 hour JRPG issues

Mike Fowle

July: TTYD August: Madden 08? September: Vanilla WoW October: RE6 November: Diablo II December: Wrath of the Righteous

Mike Fowle

calling Paper Mario 2 for July cuz coy boy kole hinted in some recent episode "its been in the news" realllllly curious about the new genres. gonna guess the first is a sports game niche and the unlikely second is... drop puzzler November is OBVIOUSLY The Journeyman Project 2: Buried in Time. but im gonna hope im wrong and that its Thief 2 The Metal Age cuz i always want more imsim joy

sleepysmiles

Oh sweet, I kinda missed that! Yeah I'll change my answer back to Chrono Cross then.

Dylan Kilby

lol I was mistaken about when the Talking Simpsons episode came out relative to when our announcement was made

Duckfeed.tv

Is Talking Simpsons on the Duckfeed Network?

Gregory Martinez

July: Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children (stealth Adaptation Decay episode) August: Microsoft's Solitaire September: Facebook Art AI Swap October: All of the Spiderweb Software games! November: Microsoft's Solitaire (Windows XP version) December: Disco Elysium Final Cut

Francisco

They already did Earthbound, it's one of their earliest. It's a two-parter as well ;)

Francisco

It was less a hint and more so Kole just straight up saying what game it was. I just didn’t want to give it away in case anyone wanted to be surprised when they announce it.

Ben Sapatka

what was the hint?

Francisco

Two genre firsts? Ill guess a Flight Sim and a "Soul Reaver" revisit which is (rightly) just wailing for 2 hours.

JC

July: Earthbound (edit: forgot yall did this one, so Chrono Cross?) August: This War of Mine September: Crusader Kings 2 or 3 October: WORLD OF HORROR (pretty sure Kole has talked about wanting to do this one for a long while... I'm also just super hopeful yall have checked this out) November: Wasteland 2 December: Encased I think I would pee myself a little bit if you guys really did do CK2/3. would be awesome to see October potentially be a Spiderware Software game, too...

Dylan Kilby

September: NASCAR Thunder 2004

Richard Cochnar

Oughhh which one would you be hoping for?? Ck3? Stellaris? Now I'm thinking maybe it could be Kingdom Come: Deliverance, which is a type of rpg that stands on its own..

JACKAL ALLTRADES

Ah yes... the boys lost a bet and have to cover final fantasy 13 under duress. I can't comment on October overmuch given that I sponsored one of the games there but I am on team "please go back to bloodlines please im dying for good content about the world of darkness". September . ... lol I almost want to guess Echo (because its a good story I swear, it just also happens to be a furry visual novel, and it actually does things with the medium of being a visual novel that 999 /DDLC wish they could do, etc etc etc).

JACKAL ALLTRADES

This is great. Very fun idea

Matt

My guess/hope for October is a return to Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines.

Dan B

CRPG from last 5 years? Is it Owlcat time?

Christopher Grunert Pedersen

October has to be RE6

Béa(u)

I'd love to see a total war Warhammer game and it seems like an impossible game to WOFF.

Alistair Cunningham-Gray

September: the first strand-type game?

Jonah Guibbert

I can't believe they're gonna do dirge of cerberus

Eoin Joy

September is City of Heroes

Conor Fellin

Good point, someone else said Paper Mario TTYD which makes more sense especially since a remaster literally just came out

Mike Suskie

For the love of god let the genre first be a paradox grand strategy

Stoned Skeleton

My guess for September is Picross

Fatt Mox

Unless someone made a colorblind romhack for CC I doubt Gary would want to blunt force his way through it

Fatt Mox

Love the hints! Excited for all of these!

Matthew Allen

Letting you know: This is fun! Do it again!

Colbin Erdahl

Super excited for whatever these all are!

Ryan Burrell

Pretty sure July is Mother 3 and if so, heck yeah

Robin Enrico

I'm guessing Chrono Cross for July, Vampire: The Masquerade redo for October, Wasteland 3 for December. Also gonna guess Dragonball FighterZ for September mostly just to amuse myself

Mike Suskie

November has got to be KOTOR II

Casey Francis Alger

October is going to be OG Alone in the Dark I know it. Carnby-heads rejoice.

Casey Francis Alger

My bet for September is one of those Match 3 Hentai games

Jordan Parfitt

I'm guessing July is 1000 year door and October is the long awaited bloodlines redux

Michelle

Oh man, December CRPG immediately has me hyped!! You guys rock!

Joe Mecham

I love the hints! I can only think of games you’d hate like Borderlands 3.

Bryan Hendrick

The identity of July’s game was strongly hinted at on a recent Talking Simpsons episode.

Ben Sapatka

Praying for Pathfinder this year 🙏

Marco Perez

September: Minecraft
