Quick Adaptation Decay temperature check
Added 2024-06-16 20:15:30 +0000 UTCHey folks
When we cover stuff for Adaptation Decay, what do you want to see more of:
1) Literal adaptations of video games, even if it means going back to the well on some shows (ie, covering different episodes of the Super Mario Super Show).
2) Other mediums, things like the Carmen Sandiego game show, Nick Arcade, Knightmare and such
3) Format stretches /about/ video games. Things like Arcade, Joysticks, or episodes of shows that are about video games (like if we wanted to cover Marge Be Not Proud, for example).
Sound off! Thanks for supporting us at this level and letting us make this show!
Gary
EDIT: I'm really grateful everyone came out in force to let us know what you like! I appreciate it.

It's weird, but I tend to like #2 and #3 better than #1, but it's mainly because you find such weird and interesting things. On that note, I'm still holding out hope you can eventually bring yourselves to cover the "Castles & Cauldrons" episode of the Christian children's radio show Adventures In Odyssey.

2024-06-20 12:03:19 +0000 UTCI appreciate you guys trying to stay somewhat close to the original premise, but I've enjoyed the hell out of every episode, gaming-adjacent or not. If you are having a good time, so am I.

2024-06-18 11:14:11 +0000 UTCA mix of the 3 is good. I also wouldn't mind some multi-part episodes around the same thing as you've said in the past there's some stuff you'd like to cover but it's a lot of RL time for 1 episode of the show.

2024-06-17 21:34:42 +0000 UTCI enjoy all 3, I'd say #1 only slightly edges out the other two, and if the show became just focused on #3, I might be less inclined on listening to each episode, at least not on day of release like I currently try to. I prefer a good mix of the three tbh. Would like to see more TV show adaptations, but I understand y'alls concerns about time/value concerns ty all for what y'all do <3

2024-06-17 20:46:29 +0000 UTCI kinda like the pick n' mix grabbag approach that the show has been doing. Something old, something new, something weird, etc.
