What were the banger ass episodes of our premium shows?

Hey folks

We're thinking of releasing another "preview pack" of our premium shows to generate interest, but we have no idea when we make something good :)

So! What were the best episodes of Unfilmable, Adaptation Decay, Real Lich Hours, and Exquisite Suffering that we released in the last couple years?

THANK YOU
Gary

Comments

I love the Resi 4 Remake episode, most of the premium woffs are premium for a reason

Cat Krieger

ES: The Grinch, ES: Hooters Road Trip, AD: Joysticks

Blake M

Ah I can’t remember which episode it was… the one where Gary came up with Piss 2. Also the episode w/ Nick Cage doing overnights at Chuck-E Cheese was pretty great!

Jonah Guibbert

I second this, as these are episodes I went out of my way to listen too as the SNES was a foundational console for me as a gamer. Gary and Kole really did an outstanding job with them all.

Mike G

The Sonic 2 episode. The whole thing is great but it also gave the world “The Whale’s Shamrock” so that’s very special

Quin Tutor

From Adaptation Decay: Chernobyl, Saw, and Blue Velvet are my favorites. For the Real Lich Hours, Arcane Tower is a real stand out because I enjoyed listening to you talk about the lore way more than I playing it.

Mike G

I have horrible memory so I'm mostly here taking notes on what to download for a re-listen. Cheers! It's ancient but I will never get the sound of the R Zone out of my mind.

Samuel Anderson

rubik's the amazing cube! please give it to the people it's so good, I'm happy to see other cube-heads in the comments here

Joysweeper

I think the Silence of the Lambs Episode would be a great pick to showcase your style and approach while also being a prestige movie with name recognition. And, as others have mentioned, GTA V are really good episodes.

Erin Locke

I don't know if it's right for this package, but you've done so much Mario coverage, it would be cool to see a Super Mario Pack or something along those lines. Or maybe a Super Nintendo Pack with Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Super Mario World, etc.

Erin Locke

Texas Chainsaw Massacre for Unfilmable

Sam

Burnout, GTA5, the order 1886, the lighthouse ep, silence of the lambs ep

Alex Brewington

An all-time great!

Max

A personal favorite is the unfilmable episode about Castle Freak. But mainly for the intro question of how many castle freaks would I take with a castle. Really changed how I think

Jacob Norr

The Sorting Hat bit in "Exquisite Suffering 50: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" killed me. "BSC 132: Dead Cells" was strong and interesting, although not necessarily a banger. Also +1 for the Midsommar and Hereditary episodes of Unfilmable.

Jeremy Brown

The Unfilmable on Garbage Pail Kids took me multiple days to listen to because it kept making me feel sick after about ten minutes. Does that count?

MisterMundus

The Unfilmable episode you guys did on Get Out was awesome. Helped even more by the fact it’s such a great film!

GlasgowBear

fave Unfilmable is The Endless, as that movie is puzzle that i think you unwind very well

Jamie Brittain

Might be recency bias but I love the Blue Velvet episode of Unfilmable. Hereditary episode is a classic too

Todd Bryanton

I've re-listened to your Unfilmable eps on Color Out of Space, The VVitch, and Midsommar several times each, I think those are all very solid.

Ryan Burrell

AD Joysticks! Searching through the episodes, I realized how many I haven’t listened to yet. It’s like finding treasure.

Ian Fredrick

For real lich hours the standouts to me were the arcane tower for the story I didn't know about that location and auntie Ethel exposed for the joy of hags

Jake

The hereditary episode of unfilmable was incredible

Jake

ADAPTATION DECAY JOYSTICKS

anonymous

CREEP is another great unfilmable episode!

Mateus Silva

For Unfilmable, I really liked the Skinamarink episode. So much of the critical body of work on that film is either angry because it's non-traditional, or praising it as a part of the larger analog horror trend on YouTube, I really thought that episode did a great job of talking about it as a *movie* while also "getting it," if that makes sense. Runners up: Daniel Isn't Real & Barbarian

Benjamin

Also loved the Session 9 episode.

Cheddar Chet

So with the idea that these would be introductions of your senses of humor as well as the context for the shows. Unfilmable - Silent Night Deadly Night 5 - my wife and I loved this, and the movie is a joy. Unfilmable (Honorable mentions) - Dolls/Return of the Living Dead/Dagon Adaptation Decay - Pixels/Silent Hill Revelation - My favorite episodes are the annoyance filled ones (Bonfireside Chat peaked with The Ringed City episodes, fight me! <3). Adaptation Decay (Honorable mentions) - Joysticks, Rubik, Super Mario (1993)

Eric Jedraszczak

That was indeed a good episode, but that newer listeners might get the wrong idea on our beloved hosts how they riff on that creator.

DAVID VISCONTI

I want to mention "Rubic the Amazing Cube" for AD. No time to relisten, but IIRC you both had great fun with the weirdest shit.

Geri Khan

The Sims Spark'd, Beast Wrestler, Saw

Edward B

For Unfilmable maybe the episode on American Movie, it's such an interesting story and you don't need to have seen the film to enjoy it. Otherwise one of the films where both of you are like yeah this fuckin rules like Hereditary or The Endless.

Paul

Return of the living dead unfilmable is one of my favorites. For adaptation decay I really enjoyed the Detective Pikachu episode. Can't pick a favorite for real lich hours it's all been fantastic

Justin Schmidt

The Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Adaptation Decay. I think about Kole's "Whales Shamrock" admission, and more specifically Gary and Will's stunlocked reaction to it, conservatively 10-20 times a week.

Bill Patriquen

I was DINING on those Stuart Gordon episodes of Unfilmable. For Adaptation Decay, I also believe that Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves would be a great pull !

Spencer Davis

Yep this one is hilarious

Bret Finley

Chakan the Forever Man, but you'd need to include the video element of it for the full effect

Fatt Mox

Return of the Living Dead is one of my favorite Unfilmables. I'd never seen it and found it absolutely ZANY. Listening to the episode had me crying with laughter (here's looking at you, Trash).

Bryant Ross

The Session 9 Unfilmable was one of my favorites as well. I'd never heard of the film and found it really enjoyable. And the additional context Gary and Kole provided was fascinating.

Bryant Ross

These are great suggestions, bc I haven't watched Session 9 or Saw and still found the shows excellent

Christian S

Nintendo Christmas AD hands down

Jan Champion

For Unfilmable, Final Destination 3 and Creep. For Adaptation Decay, Sonic 1 and Dungeons & Dragons.

Warren Michalski

I'd go with Final Destination 3 for Unfilmable, Rubik for Adaptation Decay (had me howling), any very early Real Lich Hours (since that inherently gets denser as it goes), and Reservoir Dogs for ES. You basically can't choose a bad one of these, though - y'all have been on fire the last few years.

Christian S

Unfilmable * The Color Out of Space * Chernobyl * Dolls Adaptation Decay * Sonic Cartoons * Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves * Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego Exquisite Suffering * Resevior Dogs * The Rapid Angel * Mario's Time Machine

Ryan

I was gonna list this for ES

Stephen Veilleux

Of course Chakan for ES, but also BattleTanx and Wacky Funsters

Jack Corrigan

Chernobyl and Neonomicon were both incredible episodes from Unfilmable

Evan Beitz

For Adaptation Decay I'd say Stay Alive, for Unfilmable either Hereditary or Chernobyl

Stephen Veilleux

The Pixels episode of adaptation decay is hilarious

William

From the last year or so, Chernobyl and Final Destination 3 for Unfilmable, and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Joysticks for Adaptation Decay.

Nicholas Robinson

Session 9 rocked my socks off, Saw had a lot of great background info and the enthusiasm was great throughout, and Elf Bowling: The Movie was hilarious.

Kay Francis

Now that’s a good answer right there.

Jack Corrigan

Chakan The Forever Man is one of the funniest things I've ever listened to in my life, rips so hard

Erik Brown

I really enjoyed the Unfilmable episodes for Silence of the Lambs, Chernobyl, and Get Out

aidan.j

Something in the Dirt for Unfilmable Gamer for AD Chakan for ES

Béa(u)

Shut up about my friend Jack. -GB

Duckfeed.tv

The AD of Sonic 2 is one of my favorites

Kalem Wedemyer

Adaptation Decay of DnD movie(the good one) or that Castlevania comic cause that had me in tears Unfilmable of Hellraiser or Silence of the Lambs or Final Destination 3

Mateus Silva

Wow, Clue is old and COS is the old format. Never mind, I am an idiot.

Jack Corrigan

The Lighthouse, The goblin camp, Chernobyl

Soulful Bison

Clue and Color Out Of Space immediately come to mind

Jack Corrigan
