2021-10-24 18:11:13 +0000 UTCI actually appreciated the hospital sequence because it showed how dangerous mob mentality can get. Fear and anger can be a deadly combination. We saw a glimpse of that with Halloween 4 where the bar patron gang up and ends up killing an innocent man over mistaken him for Michael. This one was on a much grander scale because the whole town knew what was going on. The fear and anger was much more widespread and the bodies were certainly still fresh. When that man died, by their doing, only for it to not even be him, I think a lot people woke up their mob hazed brains about what they were doing. Sometimes it takes a horrible moment of "What have I done" to snap your mind from an influence of something... I will say that that scene did hit very differently for me, probably because of my job. I'm a DSP and many of the individuals I work with have mental illnesses that results into self harm and harming of others, so it was very hard for me to watch personally, but I do feel the whole scenario was very realistic what was taking place story wise. I just watched this movie last night (Girls' Night Out to go see Big Mike lol) and we all thoroughly enjoyed it...
