2024-07-11 15:31:27 +0000 UTCThis is almost apropos of nothing, but i figured Kole and Gary would get a smile out of this: You know what's a surprisingly good (almost certainly unintentional) adaptation of Dark Souls/Elden Ring? The 3rd episode of the 2nd season of House of the Dragon has a maybe 2 minute sequence of a character infiltrating a ruined castle that is the closest a piece of film has captured that kind of atmosphere. One shot had me say out loud (to the minor confusion of my friends) "i swear to god i fought Ornstein and Smough in that room." If you've got Max access (or don't, steal from Warner Discovery, they suck shit) it might be a fun little treat for your Adaptation Decay brains.
