Hello folks! This is a reminder that this year's Duckstream event will be taking place from Friday, December 6 through Sunday, December 8, starting and ending at 9:00pm Eastern (6pm Pacific). That's 48 straight hours.
For those who are unaware, Duckstream is a marathon streaming event we've been doing since 2014 to raise money for the TransActive Gender Project out of Lewis and Clark College. They provide education and resources for trans youth, their families, and communities. They do this primarily through training sessions and support groups for schools, families, and workplaces to make sure trans youth have an accepting and supportive environment.
To date, our community has raised more than $167,000 for TransActive. A number that is pretty staggering.
The Portland folks will be taking the night shift, streaming in-person from Nick's house with all the usual nonsense that entails.
The Duckfeed East people (Kole and the Level folks) will be taking the day shifts. Kole will be streaming the Resident Evil 2 Remake with as many ridiculous mods as he can. There will also be some multiplayer gaming with the Level folks, and some Jackbox in there as well.
This is a really good time and we hope to see you there. We won't spam this channel with reminders that it's upcoming. I imagine you'll see one more post on the day the event begins.
You can find more information over on the event landing page. We will add donation buttons shortly before the event.
Follow the Duckfeed Twitch channel to get notified when we go live. We will be donating all Twitch income (subscriptions, Prime subscriptions, whatever Bits are) for the month of December to TransActive as well.
You can buy the Duckstream 2024 t-shirt starting right now, featuring the halftone photorealistic duckling heart you see above.
Please spread the word about the event on social media!
