How to Redeem Your Duckfeed Benefits (2025 Edition)

February 2025: Updated the whole guide to reflect Patreon's new multi-feed RSS features.

Table of Contents:

Hello, and thank you for your support! It's literally life-changing for us, and we want to make sure you get all of your benefits as simply as possible, while still having the ability to customize and control it.

This post contains instructions for how to redeem your benefits (current as of February 2025). This will be a living document, so expect to get email updates if we make any significant changes. Finally, the comments on this post are a place where you can ask for help.

GENERAL ADVICE

The most powerful way to find what you're looking for is to search on the Patreon page itself, or use our tags to browse things by category.

PREMIUM CONTENT

Getting your content is now easier than ever, thanks to changes made by Patreon in 2025. Previously Patreon only served you one feed with every show, which a lot of people found cumbersome. Now, each show has its own private feed that will deliver to you all of the content that comes with the tier at which you back us.

One note is that the private feed provided for Watch Out for Fireballs! here on Patreon only includes the premium episodes, so you will need to subscribe to both Patreon's feed and the public feed at watchoutforfireballs.com. We apologize for the inconvenience, when we can fix this we will.

HERE'S HOW TO GET YOUR PRIVATE FEEDS:

For a detailed explanation of how to use private RSS feeds, Patreon’s support page is a great place to start.

Stated quickly, here are the steps:

1. Go to the "My membership" tab on the Duckfeed Patreon page. (If this isn't available in the mobile app, you might need to use the web interface)

2. Scroll down to the "Listen in other podcast apps" section and choose how you'd like to listen.

3a. If you're using "other podcast apps", just copy the feed URLs from every show you want to listen to, and plug them into your podcast app of choice in order to subscribe.

You will need to consult the documentation for your podcast app to learn how to add it there. It should be simple, but there are too many different podcast apps for us to help you. Here's a good place to start solving this problem, along with a list of apps for different platforms.

You might also receive an email from Patreon containing your private RSS URL. Clicking this link won't work for most podcast apps... You need to copy the text of the link itself to get a URL that works.

3b. If you listen on Spotify, you will need to tap that button and link your Spotify and Patreon accounts. It will then give you options for what shows to follow.

THAT'S A LOT OF FEEDS TO SUBSCRIBE TO:

Yeah, we do a lot of stuff. If you want to bunch your feeds together into one chronological list of everything we put out, most modern podcast apps give you that ability. It's called something different in each app, so here are some examples.

That's just a few examples. Poke around in your app to see if it lets you make automated playlists.

THE DUCKFEED PUBLIC COMBO

If you want to subscribe to all of the public Duckfeed shows (everything that's not a Patreon benefit) with a single feed, you can use the Duckfeed Public Combo. Instructions on how to subscribe to this feed are available here: [The Duckfeed Public Combo.

The shows currently appearing on the Duckfeed Public Combo are:

You can also subscribe to each show individually on iTunes, Spotify, etc. or by going to each show's webpage and using the Subscribe page.

PREMIUM CONTENT WELCOME PACK

Members who pledge $3+ per month can get a welcome pack of our premium content, just to get them started. You can find details about how to redeem this at this post.

WOFF! DISPATCH PROMPTS

Once a month we release a Watch Out for Fireballs! Dispatch episode. The bulk of this episode is listener questions and prompts. A few days prior to the recording of that episode, we put out a "Call and Response" post on Patreon, and you can submit questions as comments on those posts.

SPECIAL THANKS

New $10+ backers will receive a link to a form for their Special Thanks when they subscribe. Fill out this form to get your name into the hopper. We thank 5 people at the beginning of each non-Dispatch WOFF! episode.

ABJECT SUFFERING GAME SELECTION

If you back at the $25 tier, you have the ability to select one game for us to cover on Abject Suffering per year. Previously this was handled with emails, but that became cumbersome. We're switching over to a simple form. If you submit multiple forms, we will assume the most recent one you put in is your choice for that year, overwriting the previous one.

Backers at the $25 level will be able to access the form by clicking here.

CONCLUSION

We will do our best to keep this up to date as things change. If you have questions or feedback, the comments on this post are the best place to ask.

We greatly appreciate your support!

Comments

Are you guys still taking suggestions or demands for abject sufering? The link in the post doesn't lead anywhere and I wasnt sure if the form on the abject suffering website was still in use.

Yup, just an upload error. It's fixed now! -GB

Hiya, I'm a Duck, and have been listening avidly the the Vampire RLH content (love it), but today's episode is appearing as an Eagle content level. Did I miss an announcement or has this been uploaded with the wrong permissions?

Elliot Huxtable

I saw it in the contents, but not in the post. How is one able to request premium WOFF episodes? I have 3 options in mind, but I don't know how to submit those and if I'm on the right tier. Thanks!

JT

Missed this content, but yes, it certainly does! Is it not showing up?

Duckfeed.tv

So 5$ a month doesn't let me listen to the elden ring content?

Devin

I didn’t know about the combined playlist feature so this is actually better than what I had before. And I was able to exclude Bonfireside Chat instead of deleting the episode each week because I can’t listen until I play the expansion myself.

John Mickey

Hi Kole, just wanted to your guide was terrific and made adding the premium feeds to PocketCasts a breeze. Thanks again and now I gotta get back into the slack.

Tyler

Just curious why the Adaptation Decay premium feed only has 4 episodes?

Aaron

On spotify at least

Michael Ridley-Dash

Heads up. The new feeds of bfc and rlh are not showing the most recent episodes from Sunday.

Michael Ridley-Dash

No content is being cut off, the feeds on Patreon just contain the premium stuff. You need to subscribe to both the premium and public feeds. I apologize for the awkwardness of that. - K

Duckfeed.tv

Are you cutting off some old content, or are there remaining technical issues? For example, Bonfireside Chat in the new feed shows 226 episodes for me, compared to 469 in the old per-show feed. The new feed of WOFF has 98 episodes, but there are over 800 on the old feed. Etc.

Joseph

I've updated the guide to tell people to try the web interface as well, if they can't find it in the app. - K

On Android, currently at least, there is no "Membership" tab. Open the menu and select "Add to podcast app".
