In this episode we… "do some butt-kicking for righteous justice". Wait, is that right?
Other Segments:
I have yet to play minsc in this game, but I wanna try a ranger out so it's gotta happen at some point....right?

Improve invisibility has a different mechanic for being able to attack and staying invisible. You make a progressively higher stealth check for every action you take invisible that will normally break invisibility such as attacking someone. It start dc 15 and goes up by 5 per action I think.
The saving throw I am talking about occurs in the setting of being in visual sight of something or someone that can see invisibility without you doing anything at all. An invisible creature can remain undetected if they make the save although by normal rule they shouldn’t have this save at all. If they do something such as attacking something, the invisibility goes away as normal.
If you have a save game at Moonrise tower, you can try it out. Take Shovel who has invisibility and walk him into range of one of the Seeing Eye floating thing. It has detect invisibility so should drop Shovel invisibility. However try it a few time and you notice that his invisibility doesn’t always drop right away. And on the turn where it doesn’t drop you will notice a message that Shovel makes a save. I think the save is made every round you are in sight of the seeing eye thing so the invisibility will not last very long even if you make the first save.

One more thing about invisibility in this game. Apparently a big splash of water actually like a cloud of flour in that it reveal invisible creatures. So an application of the first level spell Create Water will totally disrupt invisibility in it area effect.
Create water totally save my Honor mode run in the Orin encounter. I had sneak into her chamber via the back route but when my Tav jump down the ledge into the room, it triggered odd pathing in rest of my party. One of them followed me but the other two unbeknownst to me decided to go the long way into the chamber. The long way included walking right in the middle of the Orin ceremony which triggered the main battle. Lae’zel was the trigger character and she wasn’t going to talk a frog into jumping into a pond so Halsin bite it. Even worse because the character was split when battle was initiated, it did odd things to the initiative order. I rush Tav over and defeated Orin but after another cut scene Tav was frozen out of battle. And with the wonky initiative order, the bhaalist acted first and proceeded to murder Gale and turned invisible. My Lae’zel was an open handed monk/rogue and Jaheira was a ranger/druid and I didn’t load Jaheira with lot of AE spells. The bhaalist would keep turning invisible after their turn so was whittling my party down. Fortunate an application of create water turn them visible and than it was a quick mop up!

This post is a week late but the reason why see invisibility does not always work is that the invisible creature get a saving throw against it. And if they make the saving throw they are not revealed. This work both ways so if you are invisible you get the same saving throw against see invisibility. If you are ever invisible or have an invisible pet like Shovel, you can see the saving throw being made when the eye drone comes floating around in Moonrise Tower .

Lae’Zel confirming the existence of giant hamsters in the game was definitely wild to me.

Its really cool to see how Laryan foreshadows a ton of things in this game: There is a note in Waukeen’s Rest area (Stolen Property - Reward Offered!) that speaks about Minsc’s statue.
Also liked to point that in the 2e (the edition used in the original P&P campaign and the original BG game) of D&D there was no Barbarian class initially. That’s why Minsc was made as a Ranger.

…I got invited to my first DnD campaign and and it’s a spelljammer campaign. I’m excited about it.

I think this is what Gary meant, but not sure. You can succeed the DC99 check at the end of the game with a critical success and it does have an effect. It doesn’t let you do what the roll is meant to do though.

To add to this. In my current Honour playthrough, I killed the Nightsong as Shadowheart effectively dooming everyone at Last Light. But somehow Mol and her fellow kids made it to Baldur’s Gate. This suggests she made the deal with Raphael.

Notably, Mol had an eye patch. I believe you find it in Moonrise, suggesting that she'd been there after being abducted (and maybe been killed). But, at the thieves' guild, she has two eyes! Something we can tie up in the House of Hope.
