Per-Show Feeds
Added 2025-01-16 23:16:16 +0000 UTCHey folks, K here.
We've gotten a lot of emails recently from new patrons saying that our audio hosting service provider, Fireside, isn't recognizing the email address they're inputting to get their individual show feeds. If it's happening to you, you're not alone.
I do not know what is causing the issue, I have no control over how frequently it refreshes its database of authorized emails, I cannot manually authorize you to get a per-episode feed, and the Fireside developers don't respond to support tickets about this. I'm as powerless as you are, and all I can do is spend a lot of time each week responding to emails saying pretty much what I've just said here.
The primary way to get premium Duckfeed shows will always be the feed that Patreon provides, with all of the premium content in one location. The individual feeds were always a hack, but I'm going to go into the text of our campaign and downgrade them to "an unreliable optional way to hear our stuff".
I apologize if you are only interested in one show and don't want to have a feed with other stuff in it. You still have access to the content, but cannot get it in the ideal way. Patreon has promised that an in-house solution that doesn't rely on external developers, but I don't have any clue what the timeline is for that.

Oddly I was uploading a podcast to Patreon this past week and noticed a new show option, so they may have literally just added this? I like using the main feed anyway as every now and then I'll be tempted by an episode of something I don't listen to religiously

Right now, you can't filter something like ES for Exquisite Suffering, because it finds everything with the letters ES. But if they were in brackets, or given a leading and tailing character, then it would be much easier.
