On Karlach becoming a Mind Flayer - I recently got to the end of my first playthrough and encountered this choice. To me it was not presented as a ‘solution’ to the problem of Karlach’s infernal engine; rather, she looks as it as a way to make her inevitable death meaningful. Following the conversations you have with her after killing Gortash (which I’d done directly before this), it felt like she was claiming back her agency. If she had to die, let her go out on her own terms - I’m sure she says something like ‘let me be the one who dies saving the fucking world’. Who was I to tell her no? I let her transform - and it’s only then that she realises that the engine is gone, or at least isn’t going to kill her anymore. It’s a surprise that she gets to keep on living. The Karlach that’s there in the epilogue is definitely changed, but she still has that gratitude for the life she’s living - even though it’s nothing like she imagined. Just found that to be a satisfyingly nuanced ending for our gal!

In my most recent play through I was fighting the brain in the final battle and I had my warlock cast hex on the brain. Usually the little hex symbol appears above a characters head, but this time it appeared in front of the brain. So when you looked at the brain straight on the hex made a clitoris, and the brain really took on a vaginal design. Just thought I’d share the humor, thanks so much for doing the show guys. It’s been a blast.

2025-03-17 17:49:53 +0000 UTCA notable lesson in what not to do to prepare for the endgame - I had been swapping characters in and out throughout the game and had everyone in my camp decently kitted up, but knowing that the end was coming and knowing who my team would be, I wanted to have that team equipped as well as I could. As a result, I had everyone remove essentially everything they had on, so I could go over all my gear and outfit my main team properly. What I did not think about until the final cutscene was that, in removing almost everything, I had also stripped my camp companions of their regular clothes, so once the final battle was over and my teammates came to congratulate me, most of them said their final piece in nothing but their underwear. Wyll and Karlach stood out for having an epilogue scene of them going off to adventure in Hell with nothing but a couple thongs between them.

I really like how wholesome the relationship with Karlach is, but I also like how Lae'zel becomes a much gentler person, and more appreciative of life after being with you. Both warm my heart. ❤️ My 4 year old daughter is a big fan of shadowheart. Recently lost a 30+ hr honour mode run because I either was going to have to run a shadowheart with no spell slots left into a boss fight, or suffer the wrath of a tantrum...love my kiddos. 😭😭
