Belle's Burstin' Bistro Late Update: March 8, 2025

I'll be posting the Silly Pops comic soon, I just wanted some input from friends to see if the joke is clear lmao

But for now, here's an update on the game!

Asset wise, most of the stuff is done! All that's left is the customers. As well as putting in some posters that some friends have made for me.

Here are some screenshots of it. I'd show a video but it be the same thing as always

  As you can see, the Chef is also finished. Lookin' prim and proper.

My friends have spoken with me on some ideas to add to the game:

1. A way to restore destroyed tables so that players don't eventually get stuck into a lose scenario.

Part of me didn't want to do that, cause getting cornered into a lose scenario is like the point of it. The more tables you lose over the course of the game, the harder it is to meet the quota. But I do have an idea for it. They suggested making it a goal if you raise the quota high enough but I don't know how to do that currently. So instead I will have it where a button will pop up saying you can repair the table in exchange for your quota score. Think of as like "If you want me to fix that, it'll come out of your pay check" sort of way. That way it adds some incentive on where or not you can spare points to fix a table and still make it over the quota.

2. A burst tease mode where there's no quota and you can find feed people until their to their limit.

I believe this would be the equivalent of a freeplay mode. Where the fun is just feeding people to brim, or past it, with no repercussion. That sounds fun, honestly. I could do that. And I do believe I know how to go about it too. Won't need to rebuild the whole thing from scratch. Perhaps cloning the scenes will work just fine.

So, these two things will be stuff I will tinker with as I work on the customers.

Other stuff I need to get around doing:

-Build that tutorial. Which is gonna be a dialogue portion where the owner will explain the mechanics and such to you. I need assets for that and to figure out how to use Dialogic.

-SFX and Music. I can figure out SFX easily, I got ideas for it. Music, I'll either have to go to fiverr or check with people on the Weight Game forum to see if they're interested in helping me with that.

-Make a working options menu that does its function

-Credits. I've been writing down everything my friends has helped with in order to provide with appropriate credits to everyone.

-Customer assets, of course, which I'll be working on next week~

It feels like I'm close to finishing up, I just need to make sure it feels like a game and not a barebones demo lmao :p

Awesome! I'd definitely love to see that "burst tease" mode happen (being able to casually feed the patrons to bursting sounds like a good time)
