Modding Support Situation
Added 2025-04-24 14:15:45 +0000 UTCI'll be honest with y'all, and sad to admit, but as much as I would love to make modding a functional aspect for this game. I cannot see any progress being made one way or the other.
I can't even code the game to swap out PNGs that are within the game itself!
As much as I hate to do this, mod support is probably gonna have to go on the chopping block. Perhaps for the sequel, I'll be able to better figure out how to make the characters moddable. Its most likely an issue of how the characters work and I currently don't know how to rework the customers nor do I really want to.
I feel I am slowly slipping into the trap of adding more and more or redoing stuff over and over again. That I'll get to a point I'll be spending an eternity on a game that doesn't really need that time to be put on it.
If anything, if someone wants me to put their character into the game post-release, I can make it a commission and deliver a personalized version of the game that has their character. That much, I can do
But for now, alas, mod support is no longer on the table. I'll be honest, a little sad cause I was really hoping to make it to the end and being able to say "nothing got cut, everything planned made it into the game", but aw well!
The Freeplay is still on route, I know I can make THAT work. just gotta reconnect a bunch of shit to it when I get to it lmao
