Added 2019-12-20 21:43:10 +0000 UTCSo some of you saw the edited version of this that I posted to Youtube but I had to save a little bit extra for you guys here on Patreon! I am not as comfortable sharing my old work (mainly my old digital work) but there are some big lessons learned that I want to share with you guys. So I got into digital art in 2014 and for some reason I was desperately trying to be popular. Every single piece you see there has been traced from a photograph/screenshot. I thought it was a waste of time to draw these things since I couldn't really do it anyway, and that I was good enough to render everything to be just like the other artwork I saw. Of course, as you can see (and probably tell) I never made it anywhere doing this type of stuff and eventually gave up after a few more embarrassing pieces. Some of the old digital stuff I did was so bad I'll never show them and continue to make efforts to purge them from the internet haha. I hope this inspires you because I truly came a long way once I decided to develop my drawing skills and learn to properly understand lighting and form. fyi - the text I put there was also written in 2015 in case it contradicts what I am saying now lol.
