I loved that era especially as the slow realization dawned that the entire Clan system to do battle and minimize waste meant they had become experts on winning the battle and losing the war. And they were so flashy at the former most didn't realize the latter.

2021-07-22 13:29:23 +0000 UTC<h1>ππππ―</h1> If anything, as an italian i always appreciated Battletech for their approach to the story which was very much the same as the roman empire, brought down by "barbarians" and their use of lowly tactics such as "superior technology" (Stirrups?! Preposterous!) and actual logistics chains and a decent mailing system.
