What's in the works for March

Hey guys, hope you're all doing well and making progress on your hobby projects.

I've started working on a couple of things for this month. The first is a painting guide for Malifaux's Ophelia Lacroix (mini on the right). She's a simple miniature that will be fun to paint— she's even got a tiny pet pig.

The other mini is Guild Ball's Decimate. The game may be OOP now but it had some fantastic miniature designs that can still find a home in other wargames or RPGs. I picked this mini up from one of my LGS bargain bins because I really liked the renaissance vigilante flair.

The reason I chose these miniatures is because I've been painting a lot of armor recently, both for the tutorials as well as commissions, so I wanted to focus a bit more on cloth this month.

Another thing I really want to do with these two is water-feature gaming bases— a swamp/marsh and sunken masonry respectively. But I'll have to see if the materials I have on hand will be enough to make those.

I'm thinking smooth cloth for Decimate, maybe with a bit of freehand on the cloak trims to match the boots and gloves but I don't know yet. On Ophelia I'd like to do a bit more texture on the poncho as well as some dirt/stains since I imagine she doesn't have a ton of time for laundry what with rescuing piglets and shooting people in the bayou :D

Hey Kav, this sounds amazing! Smooth cloth or stippled for a textured effect... or a bit of both? Either way, thanks in advance for all the effort!
