Tyrok Hunter - Painting Guide

This is such a cool mini with some fun lore— they are essentially the alien equivalent of Hunters from the Monster Hunter video games and that played a lot into my choice of colors for this mini. You do a lot of diving and rolling in those games to avoid being straight up trampled or knocked flying by huge beasts, and that would naturally lead to a lot of scratches and dirt. So I went with a lot of drab colors and brown shading on nearly every surface.
This thing has so many different details and materials that made it a challenge to paint. A somewhat limited palette really helps to lighten the mental load when approaching a project like this.
