The Future of Merch at MOM

Dear Patrons,

Hi it's Big Dipper,

I wanted to reach out to all of you to thank you for your continued support of all things MOM, and take a moment to clarify some points regarding our merch program. Initially when we launched on Patreon with the new GOLD and DIAMOND tiers, we were planning to collaborate with Patreon to offer exclusive merch behind the paywall. Pretty quickly we hit some snags with some of the limitations of that program, specifically with customizable merch items and the way the system tracked new patrons vs. existing patrons, which created a rigid system for how people got that merch.  Long story short, that program is great, but not for what we are trying to do, so we decided to no longer do merch via Patreon. 

We know many of you received a mug after being a patron for 3 months, and others have not.  This highlights one of the limitations of that program; we couldn't phase out the mug or modify the parameters, we had to implement a hard stop. And I'm sorry for the understandable disappointment and frustration being mugless may have caused some of you.

BUT, that does not mean we have given up on providing MOM PLUS GOLD + DIAMOND members with exclusive access to quality MOM merch. 

You may have already noticed we adjusted the MOM+ Gold membership tier to show "Exclusive access to MOM+ Merch" instead of a "Mug" or "Merch every 3 months."

So what does this mean?

Merch will no longer be an item automatically shipped to you: GOLD+DIAMOND members will be given access to EXCLUSIVE merch ONLY available to patrons. 

This isn't to say MOM will only ever have merch available for sale behind the paywall - but it does mean if you see it behind the paywall, that is an exclusive run item only available to patrons and only available for a limited time. 

We know this is a change to the original offering, and we apologize if this is confusing, but we had to make the best decision for our company, our audience, and the longevity of the MOM PLUS program as it continues to expand.

We're a small team working our butts off to bring our growing audience high quality content and perks that actually mean something; that have thought and creativity behind them...not just the same mug shipped automatically every quarter. 

Also, I want to give a huge shoutout to Camille Stennis, our new Executive Producer, who has been handling all our Patreon logistics, over-seeing new programming (which you will get a sneak peak of very soon), and jumping in head first to the MOM team.
