2025-01-16 21:42:04 +0000 UTCBoth Sony and Panasonic still makes Blu-ray players, so that caller is not correct. Also, as Meatball mentioned, you can still play physical media with gaming systems. Physical media is making a bit of a resurgence after media company streaming services (Warner Media, Funimation, etc…) started deleting their content you “own.” I bought 30 4K UHD Blu-rays this week because Amazon had a sale. Don’t rely on digital for a movie you like … buy it on physical media.
