Delta and Willam are quite immature to have the takeaway be ‘oh nymphia is so disrespectful’. Like hello?? Delta was asking questions she herself wouldn’t answer like sex stuff. And Nymphia is lit rally a Taiwanese person who learned English and studied in England. She genuinely isn’t accustomed to American platitudes like so many times Nymphia would ask for clarification and Delta would not help at all she would keep talking American-American. I saw a shocking lack of empathy and instead a genuine disinterest from Delta. Disappointed to see Willam overlook Nymphias perspective in all this. Getting mad at a sensory accommodation or blanket and nose tampons?? She’s just taking care of herself but you’d rather control her and make sure she acts like everyone else. Like girl bye you’re making up these offended bc you’re not understanding it and instead u turn to defense when u don’t understand. Shocking to hear advice in this case not be directed at Delta and encouraging more adaptive interview style. But instead advising delta did nothing wrong, that delta attendees must know xyz platitudinous American custom before going on is crazy. And when folks complain abt the couch, her response was j gtfo. She uses her power as a host to be apathetic to her guests rather than acknowledge how she really should adapt from feedback. Hella narcissistic vibes and fr let’s try to have real relational accountability. I’m tired of lazy thinking being leveraged as disdain to such a sincerely neurodivergent queen. Aghhh It’s such a representation of homophobia and corporate world. Mistaking quirks for disrespects, believing people should just know certain customs. Using these objectively unthreatening experiences as justification for complaint and disapproval. All because they just don’t get why they r so weird or their reasoning. Character assassination like this is just abusive and why do that to a brand new alumna who clearly already has a lot against her (ESL, not from America, neurodivergent with sensory needs to the point of accommodation despite appearance).
