Goals!
Added 2021-06-16 18:10:13 +0000 UTCSo way back when I was setting up a Patreon and writing the initial chapters of Inheritors of Eschaton I put a few pie-in-the-sky goals up because it seemed like the thing to do. One of those is that at $500 total, I was going to increase the chapter benefit for patrons by one chapter, which would put you guys at 3 weeks ahead.
Well, we have reached the aerial pie - several days ago, actually, although it dipped down and back up over the line in the intervening time. I just wanted to make a post letting you know that I'm calling this goal complete even if we dip back down again.
I also wanted to explain a bit about my current schedule and why I can't make it happen this week. I've had a family vacation planned for July for a bit, and am currently trying to build a buffer so that there isn't a skip week while I'm out. I also think it sort of defeats the spirit of the goal to give the public chapters a skip week and say "hah, now patrons are three weeks ahead" because that's not really a bonus chapter for you guys.
So, for the next month or so I will continue to build my backlog - first, to ensure there is no skip week while I'm out, and then to fulfill the very old promise I made with that goal. My target is to have the extra chapter posted during the month of July, which is as soon as I think I can reasonably get the words and supplements out without compromising their quality.
