We aren't sure this is what we expected from this Jimin solo but we're glad we finally got to check it out. We'd definitely be interested to hear more solo stuff from him. Do you have recommendations??? Put them in the comments down below and maybe we can check them out in Season 7!!

2025-04-25 01:14:21 +0000 UTCAppreciate the honest review as always. As much as I love all of Jimin's music, I feel like nothing will ever top LIE for me (although Like Crazy is a very close 2nd). But to Justice's point, the non-kpop fans/locals absolutely love this song. Constantly eating it up. It feels like every day WHO is breaking another record, so the song is definitely reaching it's intended audience

2025-04-24 19:33:57 +0000 UTCI’m a huge army and I agree. This is not my favorite of Jimin’s solo releases because it lacks his originality. The songs written by Jimin are so much better such as Promise and alone. Jimin is really talented as a songwriter especially with melodies. He came up with the iconic vocal rift in Blood Sweet and Tears and improvised the bridge in Disease which is widely considered by the fandom as BTS’s best bridge. Actually this is the only non instrumental song released on his two EPs that he has no writing credits on. So you guys hit the nail on the head. Probably wasn’t even written for him. This is also how I feel about most of JKs solo work too. For other solo work by BTS in this new era here is what I would recommend: RM-Yun with Erika Badu, Lost (for a single) or Domodachi with Little Simz (for the weird version of RM). Also Around the World in a Day ft Moses Sumney. So hard to choose. Suga-Daechwita and Amygdala

2025-04-24 19:29:27 +0000 UTCI gotta say, Jimin's talents as an artist are undeniable, but I feel like HYBE is kind of playing it safe with this release. It feels like they're just making 'radio hits' and pushing them out without fully tapping into what makes Jimin so unique. For me, this song and MV didn’t really feel like him. Like Monroe said, I would expect something more in line with his personality—maybe something a bit sexier, like R&B or a slow jam that really lets his vocal tone shine. I also think Jimin has so much potential to explore his genderless charm more, like how Taemin once mentioned they share a similar vibe. I’m not saying Jimin should copy Taemin's style, but I would love to see him embrace a vibe where he truly thrives, something that feels more personal and authentic to him. I know he can do so much more, and I hope we get to see that side of him soon when he comes back!

Love Jimin, but this song/MV feels like something you'd see on the screens of the electronic section at Target. I think of some of his other solo music is more identifying for him. Speaking of identity and BTS solos (specifically Monroe's request for J-Hope), I think you all would really like Arson or More. Both from his Jack in the Box album. Others I'd recommend are Haegeum or Amygdala by Agust D (Suga) and Wild Flower by RM. I feel like the rapline doesn't get as much recognition with their solo releases, so wanted to highlight them! Can't wait for the new season!
