Torchwood 2x07 "Dead Man Walking" full reaction
Added 2020-06-29 08:54:50 +0000 UTCThere's a brief pause in the episode about halfway through, so I gave a few extra minutes at that point to re-sync if you've chosen to sync up your copy of the ep with the reaction. (You'll have from 33:36-35:36 to re-sync, then the picture is scrambled again.) I'm so sorry for the interruption - you'll see why! 😜

Still dislike this opening.... Do you autopsy a corpse when you know cause of death? TV makes its seem like every death gets an autopsy when its an investigative thing why would you waste your time doing an autopsy when you know whats up?

2020-07-05 07:38:15 +0000 UTCThe opening scene with Jack sneaking through the Church full of Weevils is weird but I like it and its very interesting to see the second glove come into play after the foreshadowing from Suzie's episode. The concept of something from the outside using Owen as a gateway to break through to Earth is very creepy and interesting. I also like how Jack and Owen bond and are simultaneously jealous of each other because one lives forever and the other is dead forever. There are lots of interesting ideas and the part where Owen kisses Tosh and closes the door to protect Tosh and Jamie from Death was really sweet. I could tell you were starting to like Owen in those moments. Tosh calling out for Owen was heart-warming. However, there are several issues with this story too. The direction of the nightclub scenes felt very all over the place. I agree with what you said about it being tonally erratic. Martha aging rapidly felt like a parallel to what happened to The Doctor in the Series 3 finale but she ended up getting a magical reset by the end which made it feel a bit pointless. The Owen vs Death scenes also felt anti-climatic and could have been handled better as it felt like he was dancing with it. But I'm very interested to see how you'll react to the next episode and other future episodes. I agree that Martha fits in well with the Torchwood team. There's a weird scene where Death attacks and then it cuts straight to Jack waking up in the car at the Hospital. Presumably it killed Jack and headed to the Hopsital. I assume the rest of the team drove the car while Jack was unconscious after Death killed him. I dunno. That always felt like a weird jump to me.
