2020-11-02 07:13:05 +0000 UTCGreat reaction as usual! I love River too. Honestly, the first viewing of this left me confused, as she was so different that what as what we've seen of her before. But I think this goes in line with the audio adventures, and just a taste of what's she's like when he's not around. Who knows what happens that changes her in the 24 years they spend together at Darilium, any other adventures, and eventually in the library? Her Doctor that she speaks of in the library, is it this doctor? Also I think 12 in this episode didn't try to change her future especially after what happened with Clara. Even though he doesn't remember Clara exactly, there is some character development, which I love in Capaldi's era. And even though the robot scan of her said the Doctor didn't love her, it was just what she truly believed. But the Doctor's actions speak louder than his words. Remember, she explained to the 11th doctor in series 7 finale HOW she would want him to say he loved her, and he did it. River hasn't had a traditional upbringing, and her view of requited love may be altered. Also they both have been married several times. Anyway let's see what the future has in store..... :)
