2020-05-30 07:11:39 +0000 UTCI think Jack lets leadership get to his head which is why he often gets a little too passionate, you're right, I find that annoying too sometimes.. and I think it's just implied Gwen and Jack just have a close flirty bond, but nothing sexual, so I wouldn't overthink that. She's engaged now and has learned her lesson from series oneπ

2020-05-19 03:08:56 +0000 UTCThe idea and concept of sleeper agents is interesting and creepy. I agree with you about Jack being extra though. He seemed so hostile towards Beth and the tough approach didn't really work. I think Gwen's gentle approach was more successful. My issue with this ep is more to do with the directing than anything else. I feel like the constant zoom ins and spinning cuts are so distracting that it made me lose focus with the episode. I think the first half was better than the second half. It got a bit too erratic towards the end although Beth was well acted. I liked her moments with Gwen. I get the impression they were trying to make Ianto more comic relief but it felt a bit out of place with the scenario. I like that you noticed the improvements with Tosh and I like that you found yourself agreeing with Owen for the first time π
