2021-02-04 06:39:05 +0000 UTCI recall watching the first couple of seasons of Merlin a few years ago, and would definitely join you in watching the whole thing if you were to commit to it. It’s an interesting take on the Arthurian legends, with some great performances. As you noted, the banter between Merlin and Arthur is fun to watch, and their relationship certainly develops as time passes. Also, it’s always a pleasure to hear John Hurt’s gravely voice as the dragon, bless him. You’ve got my support should you opt to react to it!

2021-02-03 07:56:36 +0000 UTCThis was one of my favorite 'Candy TV' (light entertainment) shows at the time it aired. It didn't take itself too seriously and was a fun little ride. Plus, it's always fun playing Spot-The-Actor-I-Know-From-Another-British-Show with it, especially in the main cast. And it definitely helps that they're usually from Doctor Who -- like Colin Morgan, of course, who was in 'Midnight', or Angel Coulby as Guinevere who had a small role in 'Girl in the Fireplace', or Anthony Head from 'School Reunion', or even Richard Wilson as Merlin's mentor Gaius, who was also Doctor Constantine in 'The Empty Child'/'The Doctor Dances', etc. And that's not even counting the guest cast people like Eve Myles -- Gwen on 'Torchwood' -- in this episode! 😀 Anyway, would definitely recommend the show -- whether it's for watching on your own time or reacting to it. 😀
