Radcliff admitted here that the darkhold corrupted his mind. I always thought of him has morally neutral, but never really evil until the darkhold messed with him. I guess I mostly feel pity for him - if Fitzsimmons hadn't gone looking for him way back in season 3, he wouldn't have ended up like this. So for me, him saving Fitz, was a redemption. I really enjoy this episode.
