Often, this haze of colour and form resolves into living mineral phantoms, hostile beasts in the shape of knights.
In the lawless Outer Kingdoms, declarations of war are commonplace, and often a form of diplomacy in their own right. Declaring "Hyperwar" however is far rarer and a grave portent of coming calamity.
A skilled Teratomancer may be capable of binding the hostile beasts left in the wake of Hyperwar engagements, leading both sides to augment their dwindling forces with more and more heartless phantoms until both sides are reduced to demonic parades.
