Mortasheen - Laverne
Added 2023-10-26 21:47:39 +0000 UTCA preview for patrons only of a piece for the upcoming TTRPG setting/rulebook publication for Jonathan Wojcik's (Also known as Bogleech) "Mortasheen" - this is one of the faction leaders within the larger world of Mortasheen, Laverne, who represents the "Sectilian" insectoid faction as kind of the equivalent to one of Pokemon's "Gym leaders", in line with Mortasheen's overall format as a "monster collection" title. I produced two versions - one with a reverent Orthodox atmosphere, and one with a more "punk" approach.
Bogleech is something of an unseen titan - his work maintaing the titular Bogleech.com for well over a decade and the sheer quantity of documentation there in the field of monster design is unparalleled. I owe a great deal to him and the foundational text of the site itself, and it was a great honour to provide work for one of his books after all these years.
