Savage Doctor Statue Sculpt

This is something wholly novel - my wife, who is an accomplished sculptor both traditional and digital, is in the process of creating a digital sculpture designed for 3D printing based on the Savage Doctor avatar from the artbook. You can reserve a copy of the STL via a new tier on the campaign Kickstarter! This really felt like everything coming full circle, seeing a kit born out of a design so heavily influenced by the late Yasushi Nirasawa. Earlier this year when Lauren (my wife) and I were in Tokyo we were extremely privileged to be able to pick up several Nirasawa books in person from the Shibuya Mandarake, and it refreshed our long standing love for his work, which inspires us both. Savage Doctor is in part a tribute to him and his love of grotesquely muscled asymmetrical bodies and spectacular colour - it feels very appropriate to see it realized eventually as a resin kit itself.
