Chapter 49: What do you do when you meet a magical prince with tons of money?

Johnny was in the mall blowing all his money on stupid luxuries. Because of his newfound wealth, Johnny discovered that he was a shopaholic. Buying new clothes and dozens of games he didn’t need made him euphoric. It was like taking drugs to him.

“Oh my god! They are coming to Greentown!” Johnny immediately booked a VIP ticket to his favorite kpop boy band.

And, he then realized, he was completely out of money. Before, he was always careful with his money and spending as little as possible so he could enjoy his workless only weekends prostitution life. But now that he was forced to work every day and getting paid for it as well, he figured why not. He was probably going to die soon anyways. Either through suicide or some monster.

“When did Brian say he would give me that raise?”

‘Yes! Please take me to the prince!”

A fucking prince! Holy shit!

On the way to the prince’s chamber, Jack saw the most amount of wealth he had ever seen in his life. He thought he was cool for blowing money on Miranda in the girl’s bar. But apparently dryads were bigger ballers.

Exotic creatures in cages. Moving paintings. Paintings 30 meters tall. Statues 50 meters tall. Made of diamonds and gold.

Eventually they made it to the prince’s chamber after walking through all the displays of wealth. Jack suffered from sensory overload.

“Dear human! Welcome!”

Jack looked down and saw the equivalent of a five year old boy sized dryad with a cute voice. The dryad prince was also a little chubby.

“Okay, I shall leave you two. Please call for me if you have any requests, dear visitor,” the guard said and left.

He’s just gonna leave me alone with the prince? isn’t he even scared I do some shit like kidnap him or kill him?

“Ehm… how was your day, dear visitor?” the dryad prince said.

What?

Immediately, Jack realized that the prince was socially awkward. When he asked that question, he avoided eye contact. It also felt like it was prepared in advance.

“I’m great! Thank you for asking! I’m Jack from Earth. What’s your name, kid?”

“M-my name is Telepatian. Nice to meet you,” the prince said while stuttering.

“Telepatian. That’s a cool name. I’m not sure what it means. On Earth we don’t have anything like that,” Jack said.

“It means I was born with teleportation affinity! Look,” Telepatian said.

The little boy blinked, and Jack was standing where he was standing one blink before and Telepatian was standing where Jack was standing one blink before.

These dryads love teleportation. First that archwizard and now this boy.

“That’s so cool! You’ve gotta teach me that,” Jack said.

“Yes! I would be happy to! I can even teach you how to make a core, I can sense you didn’t learn about cores yet! We can also play games! Look around! So many things!” Telepatian said very quickly and ran out of breath at the last part. Jack looked around and saw many toys. It kind of looked like an arcade.

“Okay, let’s play first. What do you wanna do?” Jack said.

“T-This one is my favorite!” the boy said quickly.

So I just have to play games and learn magic and chill with this boy? Dope.

“O-Okay, I see. Ehm… I’ve never taught anybody. I’m not really sure. I was born with all of my magic just there. Ehm… let’s practise the basics first! How many mana patterns can you do?” Telepatian said.

“Ehm… what do you mean?” Jack said.

Suddenly, squares and circles and parallelograms etc, every kind of shape, all appeared at once in front of Jack. He could tell it was made of mana with his mana sense, but he could also perfectly see them with his human eyes because they were illuminated, probably something extra the boy added to be nice.

“Ahh, I understand. I kind of learned about the circle one. But I still suck at it. Look!” Jack said.

He very, very slowly and crudely created a circle of mana inside his stomach.

“Can you please do it outside your body? It would be terrible if something happened to you! Your control is very bad and that could backlash and explode your body!” the boy screamed.

Jack was taken aback and cold sweat appeared all over his body.

“Whoa… I didn’t know that. Sorry,” Jack said.

“I-I meant outside your body. It’s very dangerous to do internal circulations without a proper core,” Telepatian said.

“Okay, I get you. Thing is, I don’t know how to make stuff outside my body. Could you help me?”

“Yes! I have the perfect exercise I think. Okay, look at this,” Telepatian said, and covered his hand in a thin layer of glowing mana.

The boy tried teaching him for a bit but it was hard for Jack to make progress.

“Ehm… by the way, c-can I ask for a favor?” Telepatian nervously said.

“Yeah sure. What’s up?”
