For a PDW type, I like the Scorpion Evo pistol with side folding brace.

As far as the role as a PDW I prefer the 9mm. The main reasons boil down to a couple for me. The muzzle blast / flash indoors and sound in 5.56 etc kill your hearing. 9mm reaches its max velocity in around 8” and can give near .357 performance
