Between Miramar, Pendleton, March, Ft Irwin, and 29 Palms there is a whole lot of equipment moving on the rails, ground and air. Quite a site but normal. I'm not so fond when the pilots low fly, it shakes and rattles here. March is a Pacific FOB and constantly do the touch down take off practice in those huge tankers. Our friend is AF pilot trainer at March, although according to the public it's supposed to be inactive...Pardon my lack of correct terms, I'm just a civilian 😉. I own a large chunk of land out by Ft Irwin with an artesian well and we have redirected and given water to many a soldier on R&R who got lost in the desert. We do desert sports and my family has had the property since 1928 so we have spent the last several decades riding all the trails out there. There is a tank trail up to the base and we always stop and wave and cheer the convoys moving through while we are out riding.
