With five radios, get the comm cable and download the CHIRP program to create a channel list. You can have all the same channel number, freq and names on the radios. You can still enter any frequency, of course.

Roll up slim jim antenna. I probably have a dozen of these lying around and have been very pleased with the performance. I get them with 16' of coax and female plug for the baufang. However I installed BNC adapters on the radio and antenna so I can hot swap between my chest mounted antenna and the roll up slim jim. Not to mention I run less risk of messing up the tiny threads on the radio when I'm tired or cold. ๐

I would also get a usb to 10v converter cable for the charge base. Very convenient to charge directly from a solar panel. ๐
