Honey is great I agree. A sweetener to wound antibacterial.

Do take it out of plastic and place it in glass. Plastic absorbs odors and immediately transfers them into the honey, making it inedible. I've thrown out a gallon of honey - horrible loss - when I was cleaning a friend's cupboards, because he smoked heavily and the plastic gallon absorbed the nicotine, making the honey taste so bad - inedible. Any odor will be absorbed - smoke from a wood stove - cooking odors - cleaning odors. To de-crystallize honey, do not use the microwave - it will change the taste and nutritional value. Set the container in hot water only. Change the water to keep it very warm until crystals are dissolved.
