What training things do you do that don’t require ammunition?

The topic of tactical gear and what's needed or best or whatever...makes me think of the resistance that America has found fighting in Afghanistan. A bunch of farmers and laborers wearing flip flops and a long robe have been able to offer effective resistance to one of the greatest fighting forces the world has ever seen.
Having good gear is nice, but having stuff that you know how to use and work in is best. Some dude with simple gear that he can run like a formula 1 race car is far better than a guy with a formula 1 race car that can't pass his driving exam.
