What do you think about chapter length?

Okay folks, this is pretty important.
I kinda started with something like 2.5k words in the first chapter or two. Then, with time, it slowly rose to 3-3.5k and it became my standard. Yet, I again quickly started hitting 4k words. Now, I catch myself arriving close or even breaking past 5k words in some chapters.
You know my policy, I hate splitting chapters when it feels like it would be left a bit empty or it would disrupt the flow of events, but what do you think about the slow increase in volume? When I asked near the beginning of this story, most people were for 3k chapters, so I'm quite worried here if I'm not getting too extensive.
And yeah, next one coming today, in a few hours, also might reach 5k with how things are going.
