My late grand was one of those soldiers on the second wave landing. He was 17 years old with 5 weeks of medical/bootcamp training. I can't imagine how hard that must have been. Small town Arkansas farm boy across the planet trying to patch holes and have to declare deceased with rounds flying. Be blessed soldiers π
