Going to give the three sisters another try this year. Third time is a charm! Finicky weather has been hard on germination and flowering. My apples, almond and peach are all in flower right now SW Riverside County CA. Did that last year and lost all the peaches and most of the almond to frost in early March but the apples were prolific. Planting times have changed here significantly in the last three years. Not really a gentle intro spring, it goes from cool and even around freeze to blazing inferno then cool again.
