2022-11-30 09:21:12 +0000 UTCJust a jab at the genre, where it's so common to be almost the defining aspect. There can't be a generic isekai without a circular town cut in the middle by the river :v

2022-08-15 20:15:44 +0000 UTCWhy Isekai?

2022-08-15 20:08:57 +0000 UTCFinished book 4 with enough time to read the contents of book 5 before they go poof on Patreon. Yay me! ;)

2022-06-10 05:31:12 +0000 UTCI totally missed that. Thanks for the reminder.

2022-06-08 18:13:17 +0000 UTCThen yeah, it was already mentioned that she would most likely be moving in for a little "vacation" from the academy.

2022-06-08 16:28:59 +0000 UTCGrea of course! :) I'm sure you have a plan..you always have a plan.

2022-06-08 16:26:04 +0000 UTCWho? I think pretty much everyone important has been mentioned.

2022-06-08 16:18:20 +0000 UTCHmmm, I wonder if there will be room for a certain Demon's new workshop in their new castle home. She seems to be the only one left out in the move, other than the obvious Princess, which I'm sure will come in time.

2022-06-08 15:50:42 +0000 UTCOn Earth it would definitely have to be man-made. In the timescale of rivers, when two meet, they would end up absolutely destroying the point of land on the downstream side, and eventually would either create a lake, or the water would choose the tributary that is deeper/lower. With a lake as a buffer, two downstream tributaries would be possible. It would be interesting if the castle had been built on a mad-made island in the middle of a natural lake to serve as a deep, wide moat, though it would be odd for a town to fully surround a lake.

2022-06-08 12:49:02 +0000 UTCExcellent chapter! I canโt wait for them to start their town building!
2022-06-08 06:36:37 +0000 UTCItโs a perfect island home for a dragon and his family!

2022-06-08 03:20:29 +0000 UTCI'll try to give some more insight into it when we are near the castle then. They aren't perfectly "straight". It's something like two heavily bent brackets )( but at a sharper angle. They initially almost touched but someone made an island in the middle with a moat. They still don't flow into a single one and the pick their exits like on a car roundabout but they can't see it from afar, unless Asterios zoomed in with his sight. The moat is split into two halves, pretty much.

2022-06-08 00:19:14 +0000 UTCI think I came up with a reasonable example, there are a pair of rivers (Bassac & Mekong) running mostly parallel near the border of Cambodia and Vietnam that have a couple of natural tributaries and several man-made canals connecting them together at multiple points. None of them are quite like the idea laid out in the chapter, but it's not unreasonable (in this fantasy world) to think there could have been two rivers that came close to converging so someone built a castle in between them and then used magic to create channels connecting them together and finish the encirclement.

2022-06-07 23:51:55 +0000 UTCI wish you could do 1 chappy a day, but I understand. Great build up at the end. And to answer the question about the river it split before the town and then came back together, and then split again. Not hard to figure out.

2022-06-07 23:49:33 +0000 UTCThey don't, on Earth...but then, neither does magic. ;-)

2022-06-07 23:34:31 +0000 UTCI really enjoyed this chapter not every chapter needs to be fighting I really like getting some day by day things showing us that the gang isn't always just fighting

2022-06-07 23:16:10 +0000 UTCIf I'm reading the end right the rivers meet in the middle of town form a moat around the castle and then split again
Michael McLeod
2022-06-07 23:10:20 +0000 UTCIโm having trouble visualizing it. How are two rivers dividing the town into four? If itโs an intersection then I donโt think rivers really do that without a lake. Usually they just merge.
