It should not take any trust as far as the readers are concerned. Bryn is fully female, there is no physical difference between her and any of the others girls (other then having wings).

Personally I don’t see you having any issues in this regard. Your description of their biology is rather mild and as long as you don’t spend any time on it (other then just a basic background fact) you should not have many, if any, issues. By this point in the story, anyone who is following it will already know this is not PG. Unconventional relations (harem/furry/monster girl/etc) is not only an acceptable part of this story, but expected.

I think this could be changed and made smoother, but I don't think this needs to be changed my only thing is if she's a harem interest it will take some clever writing to get from point A to point B or cash in some of the trust from the readers that have been with you this far its not too much to ask for a little faith

If only other people were this understanding and open like here on Patreon :P And yes, I usually like to build things with a bigger picture and depth. Which can often lead to me going too far and noticing it too late :P We will see. This is the fifth Volume, quite a bit of time before its release on Amazon.

I'm in the 'don't change' camp, there's nothing wrong with different races having different sexes than those of humans. Hell even on earth there are differences in what sexes species have. For example birds & a some species of insects & reptiles have Z & W chromosomes (with ZZ = Male & ZW = Female) instead of X & Y. And it's not uncommon for species to have more than 2 sexes. Not to mention, by tying the Valkyjar sexes into Hilda's distrust & Bryn's insecurities shows how you've put genuine thought into how your characters are shaped by the environment they grew up in & what they consider to be 'normal' (aka world building). As such, anyone who doesn't like that particular aspect of Valkyjar Culture, is unknowingly disregarding that particular dedication to your world building.

It wasn't strictly shown in the story, only explained that Summoners tried and it didn't work, same for Asterios "before" the summoning and contracting of Miria. He explained that part to the girls and how uncomfortable it is to be repelled, talking from past experience, thus they were this shocked. There was one Summoner during their trip to Tyrienheim who touched the gate's surface and Ast warned him.

I just started reading the chapter and had a thought: I thought it was previously stated that he could only traverse between the realms when there was enough trust/a strong enough connection between the summoner and familiar? I have a vague memory of them trying it near the beginning and it blocked him which was why they were surprised when he fell through. But maybe I’m remembering wrong or missed something?

Personally don't have an issue with it. I mean each culture is its own ideas/practices and each race as well. If the information was given as part of their races life then not to sure what the issue is. Everyone know Valkyrie were all female. They have to reproduce one way or another.

Valkyrja - race, Valkyr - the one with pp, Valkyrie - the full girl version. So, whenever Valkyrie appears, it's pretty much mentioning Bryn.

On that subject... male seahorses impregnate females then take care of the young.... so basically the valkyrja can be the mammalian version of seahorses, so to speak.

Back to the topic about the valkyrja: If you change something, pls don't add simple males since the valkyries (which you obviously based them on) were only female.
