BONUS - SMALL TOWN MURDER - ED GEIN PART TWO!

This week, James and Jimmie discuss more about Ed Gein!

Comments

Please please please include a warning regarding animal abuse/killing while posting the episode description. I understand why you don’t, but every time it comes up in the episodes, I feel sick and I need to stop listening. I understand that’s my personal problem, but maybe it would be beneficial to other listeners.

Angela Bartlett

Heaven is pogo sticks and heeleys, it’s all I could hope for 🤣

Dena Werling

Dark humor is the best, it’s 90% of my vocabulary 🤣

Dena Werling

Casey?Kasseee?Aww shit Kassay?? 😅

D.

I'm so happy and grateful to find my home for dark humor. As a Nurse, dark humor is pretty much necessary to avoid a nervous breakdown. Thank you guys, you're exactly what's needed to unpucker assholes in an overly offended society.

D.

40:10 OMG Completely know that feeling!!... Bless my mother, but we've literally had that one-way conversation 🥺 That's why I'm a strong-ass B today 🥰 who doesn't take shit from anyone.

Amanda Martinez

I was diagnosed with BC at 37. People couldn’t understand how I made jokes about it, but that’s how I got through it. Love you guys!

April Morgan

What is Ed Gein’s license plate? ICU812

TBitt

I just moved to Steven’s point WI for school and I Ed’s stomping grounds were fairly close to me… I work with older folks and I asked them if they knew any jokes and they immediately told the goosebump joke

Kenley Smith

Where is ep 1????

Monica Ferreira Ask

Oh Eddie. My grandpa is from Hancock, WI and remembers Ed going to the basketball games at Tri-County High in the mid 50’s. Last time we went out to visit grandpa, we also visited Ed’s grave. Rest in hell.

Madyn Hillyer

31:52 Jimmie saying Goddamn Cheese Curds. I guffawed!

Jae Melton

Fascinating story. Thanks for making it two parts and giving it its due.

Sarah Zamenski

Same. I was cracking up.

Sarah Zamenski

Goesinme? Lol

Tina Cianci

They always have wonderful shows on Patreon and their shows on podcast. These wonderful guys have gotten me through some of the darkest times of my life when I’m in a lot of pain and I just laughed because they are fantastic.

Paige Lovelace

So listened to this on the way to work… at work a coworker was watching a show called flea market flip … ppl go to a flea market, by some old furniture and then use their artsy handcrafting skills to transform it into a piece to resell for profit. Well i couldnt stop imagining Eddie Gein on the show talking about how he would buy this chair and replace the old cushion with belly skin… Or saying “lets take this old chest of draws and stretch a womans chest over it … we can use her nipples as the knobs in the drawers”

Amanda Sheridan

Love it when you guys do the more "popular" stories. Just because it's been done doesn't mean I could tolerate the ppl doing it. I think you absolutely still have an audience for these stories and patreon seems like the right place as town/city size wouldn't matter and it wouldn't be "gimmicky" as this is the group of ppl who prefer to hear it from you. I would love to see more of these (with not as much reading) please 😊

Amanda Wedden-Gribble

Combat vet here, afterwards we explained our jokes as "you're going to laugh or cry"

Peter Gozenya

Hello

Zachary Leatherwood

When are we suppose to get a shout out? I don’t think I’ve gotten one yet and it’s not a big deal and I know it’s silly but I really want to see if Jimmy says my name right or not.

Kassie Jones

Are all my turkeys prescent or prescient?

Travis L

Hope you’re doing okay today, bro.

Madison Lilly

You guys probably saved my life today, not sure if I’ll get through tomorrow. Because my life is fucked, but thanks for helping me through today.

John Checkleleckalcheckley

I actually really enjoyed these episodes on Gein. I’m usually stoned while listening to the podcast, and it’s nice to be able to focus on the humor rather than the story

Shannon & Aaron

When my back went out at work I had to explain to my coworker that me laughing means I'm in crippling pain.

Doc Cetaceous

Thanks for another awesome episode!

Renee Carlson

Speaking of the beginning about WWII…I’ve seen recent TikTok’s of soldiers talking about snipers almost getting them and HEARING THE BULLETS WIZZING BY THEM. And they were like lol they missed! And one guy got tired of it, walked in the middle of snipers bullets with an RPG and demolished their mountain. Just nonchalant. Which I can understand that they can’t panic like I would. They have to act like nothing is wrong in order to survive.

Jennifer McIntosh

Great shows you have. I found this to be interesting and it seems that some mother’s are behind their twisted children. This is so sad. Religion does a lot of harm to many people

Louise Tucker

We will be neither seen or heard

Jeff Stanton II

Ed reminds me of Buster from Arrested Development

Nicole

Augusta sounds like my grandmother. She would drag grandpa’s ass out of the tavern and beat him with a frying pan ( iron).😂😂

Lisa Chamberlin

German Lutheran . Typical behavior. The no joy religion.

Lisa Chamberlin

I feel bad for all these people but not nearly as bad as I feel for the person with the handle of “Ed Gein” in the chat of the Karen Read livestream I’m watching. 😁

Jane Blackbird

Seriously thank you guys for the start of the show, I'm not a comedian but that's how I try to process stuff too.

Ray Bullock

The story about his brother ALWAYS gets me.

Cam 🛸

La Crosse, the Sodom of the midwest. Now you know.

Tammy Hedrick

500..Yaaaaay and choo choo...! Congratulations you assholes🤣🤣🤣

Si Fyi

Words I never thought I would hear about early 20th century La Crosse WI: “A city of Babylonian excess” Ma Gein would be flipping out today if she saw what it has become. Bars, College Kids, and a brewery. You know, fun things.

Michael J. Cheaney

If not a joke, then a nursery rhyme.

Eldergoth

As a 12 year old when Jeffrey Dahmer was caught, I can absolutely believe people made jokes about the Gein deaths. Those were all the rage as a 5th grader 😂

Joe Jacobbi

A dump rake, at the other end of the spectrum of a sand garden rake.

Eldergoth

Don’t turn your back on anybody

lm Australian too. My father was a Supreme court judge and my mother was a naturopath. She tortured me with weird diets and l never saw a doctor until l was in my twenties. My mother's crimes were always covered up by my father. My mother sold me to her paedophile friends and blamed me for tempting the men. My father would beat me. At 50 l am still having surgery to correct all my injuries from internal damage and unhealed fractures etc. No adult ever helped me. My parents told everybody l was a horrible evil child who deserved everything l got. The church supported them completely. What happened to you?

melissa speirs

Horribly Hilariously like always. Gallows humor for life baaaaby!!!! If not I’ll cry!!!

Holy crow you got a droopy butthole.

My mother is a psychopath who committed murder but thinks it is all fine because Jesus died for her sins. My mother and father were horrific violent sexual preditors who held high positions in the church and community. l should be a psychopath but lm a Criminologist who works hard to help the police catch and prosecute people like my parents. My mother murdered my father and a brilliant barrister got her off. My mother is still alive. l had to change my identity because she wanted to kill my children. Her aim in life is to destroy me. l haven't seen her in twenty years. The police keep me updated on her. Lots of people are abused and use their life experiences to help others. My parents were Seventh day Adventists and the church helped cover some of their crimes. Unsurprisingly l am not religious.

melissa speirs

These are the kind of details I like - not gory and gruesome!!

TiannaGabanna

So, like, my mother was pretty much exactly like Gein's mother. I'm 38 and female, but yeah, as the guys kept describing her I was like, oh yeah, my mother's the same. Except I haven't spoken to mine since 2009. I had all those fundamentalist religious beliefs, but I became an atheist by accident when I was 26. I was trying to deepen my faith by researching the bible and stuff. Literally accidentally lost all belief. Anyway. I kind of want to say, don't give Ed excuses for his behaviour. I grew up very similarly and I've never done crazy stuff. No criminal record. Don't hurt animals, love my cats. My sister? Definitely a narcissist and uses religion as an excuse. My father died because he had diabetes and decided to see a faith healer instead of an amputation. Anyway, if you have any questions about that kind of upbringing, I'm happy to answer them. I'll be going to bed soon though, I'm Aussie and sick so I'll be up in like 10-12 hours.

The Pudd

Hardcore kids remember putting these Gein jokes on their MySpace pages 🤣

Jenna Lemke

Yeah indeed Plinio, yeah indeed.

Rhoda Byke

What do you call someone who kills it in the gym? Ed Gaines

Matt Brown

I love to drift off to sleep after learning more about Ed!

Jamie M. Cunningham

I'm from La Crosse Wisconsin.. same as Ed Geins mom I guess. 'BIG city' 😂

Stormy Rae

Pogo sticks in Heaven. I love these guys so damn much!!!

LissaG

I get to fall asleep at 3am to this right now. I was delighted for this sequel, part one gave me a million more questions😂

Tierra Porter

I get to finish my shift stocking shelves with a new episode!!

Evan Pease

Yaaaaaaaaaay!
