Comments

taylor hopper

When James said good thing her name wasn't Reese's had me rolling, how did Jimmy not laugh

Kevin V

The thing is, there was another serial killer in Montana in the 70s….

Houndman 406

My brain is off. Can someone please tell me what episode this was on. Castbox app

Naomi Oleson

This wouldn't happen if people would give homes to more dogs. I have 6 dogs...1 is blind but the rest will at least ALERT me to an intruder! I'd DEFINITELY take at least 1 camping!

Renata

Great job guys

Dan Forbes

I really hope James reads that ⬆️

Justine McNeil

About the saw we used to use a hand saw small cross cut to remove the skull cap of deer for trophies not a hack saw just saying saws all makes it easier but more dangerous just a bit of mountain childhood and I can without a doubt completely dismember deer, hogs and on occasion a couple few bear with a decent pocket knife sounds bad I know but it’s where you’re from! Skinned my first deer around 5-6 with assistance then my first I killed I did it alone but I couldn’t do it to a person promise don’t want to eat it so I ain’t killing it don’t really hunt much but seriously it’s not that difficult so don’t worry but never underestimate anyone especially a hunter just saying

Josh Chastain

This episode is so damn disturbing. Thank you guys for doing a good job on covering this. Not a lot of room for comedy, but you still did a great job.

TBitt

Wow that one was so fucked up.. completely made me nauseous.. thank God that monster was caught!

Lara Clifton

I’m thankful for you guys for making this at least a little easier to listen to. Great work 🫶

Jen Ward

That was a hard one to get through 🥲

Derius Thompson

Yikes!

Don Nelson

Damn straight we do!! There's a picture of me when I was a senior in high school (in the yearbook) riding a donkey and awkwardly draping myself over his/her neck trying to GIDDYUP!!! Is it absurd that I loved the entire experience and would do it again? Except, donkeys are so little and though I'm not heavy, I'd still feel guilty for making one carry me. Such concern didn't even occur to me back then, but I'm more sensitive now. That's the donkey basketball story I'm sharing to back you up!

Crowded Crow

I've been a Patreon member for years. How the Hell this got past me, I have no idea! I played it for my sister who likes to space out and leave our door unlocked. Plus, camping is no longer an option. Keddie and this... I am going to watch 2 hours of Bob's Burgers now to try to forget. Still love you both. Thank you for your hard work.

Kristine Buch

Wow! I was late listening to this part, but while I was listening my husband had the hacksaw out to do some yard work today and he didn't put it back in the shed. Every time "hacksaw" was mentioned, I looked at it and I can't imagine people use this on well, PEOPLE😖

Anastasia C Morganello

Yikes! Not going to sleep heavy while camping ever again thats for sure.

Ken Kuipers

WTF!!!

Mandy Dempsey

Tough episode!! Well done. Would love to know your thoughts on the Keepers

Laura Errera

jeeeezus. fuck you guys for this one. holy shit.

Josh Shackelford

You guys should do one about: The Russian Maniacs. These guys who committed these murders are beyond sick. Love your show! Keel up the great work:)

Zachary Leatherwood

Off topic, to James, the donkey basketball is actually riding donkeys while trying to play basketball. It's hilarious, and you should look it up. We get bored in the country.

Audra Wajda

please talk about the documentary series “the curious case of natalia grace” what the FUCK

Hailey Gerena

Sorry - I Had to stop listening guys! I love y’all but this was way too much!! I understand why you’re going over his confession but I can’t do it. At least not today.

LauraSue

Watching Uncle Buck for the second time in 6 hours.

Ben Armstrong

Nothing to do with anything above...but I believe with 99 percent of my heart that John Candy is the greatest actor to ever find a Hollywood job.

Ben Armstrong

So he’s real life Cartman?!? How has this NOT been covered?!?

Emily Dumas

Will not be camping, especially in MT!

Emily Dumas

The silverlining here is that when Meirhoffer hung himself, his spinal cord didn't snap if I can recall correctly. So the dude suffered just like Suzie did when he strangled her to death.

Jason Steel

My uncle was at the boy scout camp where Michael was killed. I grew up in this area and know all of these locations like the back of my hand. Meirhoffer was literally my boogeyman growing up. My mom never let my sister and I out of her sight because of him, even into our late teens.

Jessica Jones

That was awesome! Thanks!

Ox Baker’s Eyebrows

“Two dick-head comedians”………LMAO, the bonus material is funnier than the other two. Worth every penny!

Charles Jewell

Leaving live show now. It was funny and I had no Kleenex. Beautiful evening in Boston!

Cher Love Strong (#LocalWeedia)

Oh boi, how relived was this scumbags attorney? (Below is some fictional Murder piece theatre 🎭) Cop: “We got some uh…some um, bad news? Your client’s no longer with us.” Attorney: “oh god! He escaped!?” Cop: “um… no. He’s uhh… he’s dead.” Attorney: “oh?… oh! Thank God! Thank fucking Christ!” Fin☠️

Dixin Hanns

429 I think

Kerri berger

Gross

Sarah

Hey guys, i am trying to find the episode number where James finds out he is allergic to walnuts. Thanks in advance for all your help.

Michael Abbott

Fascinating, but rough.

Tammy Hedrick

This is the most chilling case I think I've heard you guys cover, and I've heard them all. It's as creepy as it gets. And my 12-year old son is going on his first camping trip without us this weekend. Ugh! 🥶

Milita DeMorrow (kwiklip)

People keep recommending Wayne Nance, but I always recommend Nathaniel Bar-Jonah out of Great Falls. He fed his neighbors chilli made from his victim.

Luella B

Well, this was nauseating! Always good to hear your guys' take on stuff though, thanks for putting this together. What a sick fuck.

Molly S

Terrifying

Lisa Maglio

What a scary piece of garbage. Wow man.. Great job guys! 👍🏼👌🏼Your patreon never let's us down. Well worth the price of admission!

Robert Bigelow

Amazing episode and terrifying

mark piotrowski

My theory is that he ate poor Susie, that’s why he was so weird about “where” her remains were. The weird meat mixtures in the fridge…

Olivia Fisher

Same. I’m a Montanan from Butte and have never heard of this. We go fishing in Manhattan.

Melissa Blue

It might be more of a bonus episode

Justin Mackenzie

That is a crazy story from top to bottom, but Missoula size may disqualify it. Great suggestion

Casey the mick

You guys should look into Wayne nance aka the Missoula mauler. He might be responsible for some of the murders he denies. There is also an unsolved murder in Florence montana he could be responsible for it was around the same time

Justin Mackenzie

I want to know what brand of hunting knife this was. Not really the type of publicity the company wants but damn that had to be good knife.

Blue Yake

Horrifying dude.

Tony Legg

So I have a theory that he was a necrophile. If he saw the boy go into the water he could've retrieved him. It might explain why it took so for them to recover the first body.

Samantha Hall

Ohhhhhh yeahhhh SPAM!

theSPAMman

His middle name was Gail. 😬😬😬😬

Danielle Johnson

Regarding the Willingham CT murders. The school district should given the murderer’s mother her pension & she should have retired. It’s mind blowing that the parties involved didn’t take that step.

Tracie Hauser

It’s crazy that I’ve lived in Montana my whole life and never heard of this guy. Never knew he existed until the Small Town Murder episode. I definitely believe he killed more people. Warm Springs is right outside of Anaconda and someone went missing around the time Meirhofer was there. The Missoula murder they mentioned in this episode was most likely attributed to Wayne Nance, a serial killer in Missoula in the 70’s and 80’s.

TimeChildx02

I’m only 17 minutes in and I definitely understand why he killed himself. Inmates would have torn his ass up if they heard what he did to that little girl.

Jennifer McIntosh

Well now. You have set a new barre for serial killer recaps. My gosh - a monster of a man. If there is a hell, he must be in it. I thought BTK was awful but this dude is equally as bad or even worse.

Maureen Wilson

Then this guys younger brother served 30 years for raping young boys in the Seattle area. Wonder what the fuck happened in that house as children. Sick fucks. What’s up turkeys? Also, probably raped and pillaged villages in Nam

Admit Trump Was Better

What did this guy do when he was in Vietnam???!!!

Nicol Auld

Wild!

Tiffany W

Wilddddd

Sarah Drymon

He is my best friends cousin!! Well done episode. Next MT serial killer, Wayne Nance! One of the only serial killers to be killed while in the act. James. Jimmie. You know you want to.

Nikki Sheppard

whoa.

Navarra Good

Yaaaaaay

Jason S Liptow

I listened to the main episode less than 24 hours after going fishing on the Gallatin River and parking at the Nixon bridge access point! My family lives near there, not sure when I will be going back to that fishing access point.

jeffrey linden

Heyyyyyyyyyyyy
