I can tell how hard it was for J&J to read those blog posts. I appreciate their ability to get through a hard topic. ❤️ I hope others listen to this episode and are outraged by this criminals comments. I must disagree on a death penalty for rapists/child rapists. My opinion is that’s to easy for them. A death sentence is a way out and they need to suffer more than any type of person. I have felt and after my own rape fantasize my rapist is locked up in general population and gets his ass raped every hour of every day. That’s a perfect punishment

As a SA survivor, I am just learning the ways that I blame myself for anything and everything of issue in my life because, if it’s my fault, then I can reclaim some control and power. I am resisting this idea that I am someone, as an adult, that is “seeking” control as I work though this with my therapist. But this episode gave me a bit of a breakthrough - to give myself a bit of grace and to dive more deeply into where that comes from and why that survival mode has served me. I needed to share because I know experiences like mine are not rare. To Jimmie, and any other survivors, I am so fucking sorry for your pain and you are worth healing. ❤️🩹
