Chapter 726: The Giant Wutong Tree

As Lin Qian gazed at the chaotic scene before him, he was quite surprised by the state of the skies over Blue Phoenix Star.

In the Huaxia Empire, thanks to the air traffic regulations implemented by Lin Qian and the Ministry of Transportation, the skies were always orderly. Passenger cloud boats had designated flying altitudes, and Soul Martial Artists flew at different heights and speeds according to their cultivation levels, resulting in an organized system. Additionally, with the quick reflexes of Soul Martial Artists, accidents were rare.

However, the sky over Blue Phoenix Star was a mess. Various Soul Martial Artists, cloud boats, and even Void Vessels flew haphazardly, with no sense of order. Everyone seemed to be flying wherever they pleased.

This disorganization made accidents much more likely. While Soul Martial Artists could often react quickly to avoid collisions, accidents were still inevitable.

Seeing the chaos, Lan Feng'er couldn’t help but feel a bit embarrassed. In the past, she might not have thought much of it, but after visiting Hunwu Star and witnessing the organized air traffic under Lin Qian’s management in the Huaxia Empire, she was deeply impressed. The orderliness there had left her in awe—it was an entirely new way of managing things.

What stood out most to Lan Feng'er about the Huaxia Empire was how comfortable it felt.

The orderly environment made her feel at ease, and the clean, well-maintained cities brought her genuine comfort.

With that comparison in mind, she now saw the shortcomings of Blue Phoenix Star’s management. Despite being vastly more powerful than Hunwu Star, Blue Phoenix Star’s governance seemed far inferior.

In her opinion, under Lin Qian’s leadership, the Huaxia Empire’s strength would grow immensely.

No—more accurately, it was unclear what hidden powers the Huaxia Empire still had. According to her husband, her son-in-law had inherited a legacy from an ancient empire that had been hidden within a secret realm, and even stronger powers continued to emerge from that realm.

Figures like the mysterious Prime Minister, along with the top experts of the Huaxia Empire, seemed to come from that secret realm.

One of the individuals who intrigued Lan Feng'er the most was Sun Wukong, who could smash a Body Refinement Realm expert to pieces with a single staff strike!

And then he vanished, as if what they had seen wasn’t his true self or full power.

The Void Vessel continued its rapid descent toward the ground, and Lin Qian focused his attention on the scenery below.

The cities of the Sky Blue Phoenix Clan were quite different from those of the human race—there were no city walls, and in fact, there didn’t seem to be the concept of a traditional city at all.

Instead, the Sky Blue Phoenix Clan lived among ancient trees, called Giant Wutong Trees.

This wasn’t unique to the Sky Blue Phoenix Clan; it was common among all branches of the Phoenix Clan. On the planets where they lived, they cultivated these ancient trees and made their homes within them.

At that moment, the Void Vessel was heading toward one of these Giant Wutong Trees below.

Growing atop a vast, towering mountain range was a colossal Wutong Tree. Its roots were thicker than rivers, spreading across the mountain range, and its branches were far wider than the imperial roads of the Huaxia Empire. Standing atop the branches, one would think they were on a broad plain.

The leaves of the tree were as large as grand estates, and various buildings had been constructed on them—some resembling human palaces, while others looked like sprawling gardens.

However, all the buildings were made entirely of wood, without any decorative embellishments, giving them a simple, rustic appearance.

The only notable difference was that the buildings were surrounded by tiny, shimmering starlights, creating a dazzling, beautiful sight.

For the Sky Blue Phoenix Clan, a single tree was a city, and its branches were where they made their homes.

"This Giant Wutong Tree is enormous. Just one leaf is bigger than the entire Ye Mansion!" At that moment, Ye Nanxin appeared beside them, marveling at the sight ahead.

His sudden appearance caught the attention of the others, who turned to look at him.

Carefully observing his father-in-law, Lin Qian smiled. “It looks like your strength has improved considerably, Father-in-law. I’m sure you’ll be more than capable of handling the third elder’s grandson.”

Lan Feng'er also glanced at her husband, sensing the profound aura surrounding him. She was pleasantly surprised. “His aura is unpredictable. I’m sure his opponent will underestimate him, and he might actually succeed!”

As she studied her husband, Lan Feng'er’s face lit up with joy. She knew that trouble would soon come for Ye Nanxin—most likely in the form of a duel.

If her husband could defeat his opponent in a contest and display his impressive talent, her father and grandfather would accept Ye Nanxin not out of love for her but out of genuine respect for him.

But then she quickly added, “You just broke through. Shouldn’t you take some time to stabilize your realm?”

“Don’t worry, Feng'er. My realm is fully stabilized. Honestly, I can hardly believe the power I have now,” Ye Nanxin said, taking a deep breath and marveling at the strength coursing through him.

Seeing the confidence in his father-in-law’s eyes, Lin Qian felt reassured. After a breakthrough in strength, confidence was essential for fully unleashing one’s power. Without it, one couldn’t perform at their best.

It was clear that his father-in-law was well-prepared.

The Void Vessel landed gently on one of the Giant Wutong Tree’s massive leaves, where several other Void Vessels were also docked.

Lan Feng'er led the group off the vessel and along a path on the leaf toward a nearby branch. Her soul energy enveloped the group as they flew along.

“There are no soul cars or soul trains here like you’re used to. The fastest way to get around is for me to fly us,” Lan Feng'er explained as they flew toward the top of the Giant Wutong Tree.

Lan Feng'er’s speed was incredibly fast, and her aura unconsciously spread out as she flew, causing many members of the Sky Blue Phoenix Clan to quickly make way for her.

Before long, Lan Feng'er brought Lin Qian and the others to the top of the tree, landing on a vast leaf where a luxurious mansion stood. The overwhelming power of the formation around the mansion was palpable, filling the air with pressure.

However, despite the formidable strength of the formation, Lan Feng'er easily led the group through it and into the mansion. “This is Blue Phoenix Mansion, the residence of the direct descendants of the Sky Blue Phoenix Clan.”
