2025-03-15 02:12:25 +0000 UTCHmm, you need a VR video player like Mermaid VR or Skybox VR Player - those are the ones I use on Steam with my Valve Index and if you can play SteamVR titles on Oculus then you can use those too. If not you need to find a dedicated Oculus VR video player. Oh and in the player you need to choose the 180° mode for the videos to be displayed correctly.

2024-08-13 20:47:59 +0000 UTCAhh it turns out that many video players don't support Opus audio codec. I will have to re-encode the VR videos to use AAC instead. Shame because Opus is vastly superior in terms of audio quality relative to bitrate. Also the only player that seems to work is the one I'm using and it's a paid one - Skybox VR Player. Still I'll get on re-encoding the videos right away so they work on any player.
