I'm really not sure either. It's more the way they felt like they needed the singular article "a" in front of it. Just sounds weird and forced. Like "a spaghetti"

Chris Helmuth

....I mean.... I don't really understand what a singular fajita is.... like a single slice of meat or veg?

Somebody made a Homebrew Paladin subclass for dnd called the Oath Of The Common Man. I played it for one campaign and is done very well both in theme and mechanically.

Preach! Yup i saw that news article right after an argument with someone about at least holding military accountable for the money we do give them. 7th audit failed in a row. I feel you on the radicalization of former military, even recently my non-military inclined friends have leaned more millitant. And i'm like... because you feel that while we haven't helped ukraine enough to end the war.. and we never figured out afghanistan.... we need to .... promise taiwan help that we also will fall short on?? One of them admitted to me just straight up that russia probs won't ever attack the U.S directly but it eats at her and the military provides safety. And i'm like would you like to find an example post-wwii to support that claim? That's like saying despite everything the police might find me if i were to go missing as a white woman.... therefore more money should be alotted to them. Wishing you luck for radicalization processes.

Katie Schlasner

I know I'm not on subject, but who else would like to see those guys, or any other leftist creator, run a dnd or any other TTRPG campaign with revolutionary leftist themes. I once ran a semi-serious campaign set in an industrial setting where the nobility and the industrialists were vampire (I know I am the king of subtle metaphors ( I'm being sarcastic)). The themes were about the struggle of everyday people and the slow development of my players class consciousness from witnessing inequalities. All that to say that it would be cool to see people with lot of theorical experience explore those themes in a simulated environment. Maybe even play with 1 person who is a leftist but doesn't have the theorical background of those guys and see that person's perspective. Anyway i'm throwing the idea in the air.

Hakim talking about food street vendors that the worse they look the better their food tastes he made me remember Cut-Me-Own-Throat Dibbler from Discworld.

Also as an American it is my opinion we need to slash the military budget. The pentagon just failed an audit having lost $27 trillion. If an organization is so bloated that a trillion dollars goes missing it's too much, never mind 27 trillion. If as a country, we don't spend as much on killing brown kids overseas, as the next 10 countries combined, even if it gets lowered the next 5 countries combined I would call it a (marginal) win. It's the defence contractors pocketing the money anyway, not to defence of American soldiers. Sorry, most of the people I'm trying to radicalize are active or former military, (I live in an area with 3 navy bases, 2 airforce, and at least one base for each of the other branches). This is not something I can talk about with out extreme caution.

Be the social unrest you want to see in the next 10 years. Get organized and get educated today!

Michael Xin

Well-meaning american here: my most controversial opinion to put on blast irl is that we should spend less money on the military. Cause i can get "fiscially conservative people" behind my ideas for... most social reforms because it saves money in the long term (housing people = cheaper than not.) I can get people on the other side of the aisle for the removal of laws against bds because i can convince libertarian types that anyone should have the right to freedom of speech. You may not support what i'm doing but you should support my freedom to do it anyhow because *puke* money is speech. But i suggest for one second that we are currently wasting money militarily or that we should hold different military projects acountable for where the money we give them goes and i get: i am anti-american, i should support our troops, i want the world to fall to russia/china, i want to be russian/chinese, i must be supporting russian anti-lgbtq crackdowns, russia/china is just waiting until we stop spending money to attack us, the rest of the world would have to spend more on their militaries to make up the difference if we stopped spending money so that russia and china stay docile; and What about when we go to war with china?. And i just sit here going. We spend how many more billions than every other country combined and we've "won"... how many of those wars recently??? And the countries we are perpetually at war with they must spend MORE money than us???? Right? Right???????????

I recently read that Iraq was ripping out concrete where they could and planting tons of trees in cities to create shade and lowering the city temps by 2 degrees i believe it said.

On the "hurr is the fault of capitalism your answer for everything??" topic, I've had a thought recently and it's calmed the cringe I felt the same as my brother Yugo. I can't seem to phrase it as convincingly as I did at the time for it to click in place seamelessly, but it boils down to "if the problem we're talking about is part of a system, why is it such a stretch to believe the unerlying rules of the whole system have something to do with it?"

I think with the vw bugs, the engine is on the back and the trunk is on the front. You could have a grill in there and still have it run perfectly fine
