But that very "last island" is not Raftel. On that island you will get to know the things about Poneglyphs and the existence of the ancient civilization for the first time. So based on that Episode, Roger realized it's not the last island and had to do everything all over again. Which is finding Raftel. And how do you reach Raftel? By searching the 4 Red Poneglyphs as mentioned in the last Episodes. That's what they mean with "all over again". Luffy and the rest are on the right journey already in general because Robin's dream is to find the truth and they got 1 Road Ponegylph already here. Nami thought they were off the track because they didn't follow the Log Pose.
